The Tomography for Scientific Advancement society represents the International Tomography community, providing a platform to promote, advance and support innovation, share knowledge and encourage collaborations.

🇬🇷 We just attended the 18th annual symposium of the society at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), engaging with fellow researchers, microtomography enthusiasts, and industry representatives!

🪼 This year's scientific programme included tomography applications in biological hard and soft tissue imaging.
Niki Keklikoglou from LifewatchGreece, presented the abstract “Advancing marine research through 3D imaging at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research”.

Last week, LifeWatch ERIC members attended the 15th Conference in Brest, France, to share knowledge and strengthen links in ecological restoration.
👩‍🏫
The scientific programme was particularly relevant as a source of knowledge and good practices to potentially implement in the RECUP-DAS Project (which aims to support the restoration of river basins affected by mining activities).

Summary of this week at :
👉 We had a chance to contribute in two special sessions, showcase our services through two poster presentations, and to take part in the general session on "Coastal and estuarine biodiversity and ecosystems"; This was a great opportunity to present the Marbefes project toolbox for marine biodiversity analysis, as well as LifeWatch ERIC's operational eDNA workflows for biodiversity in coastal ecosystems, and much more!
👉 Emma Verling presented the new documentary recently launched on LifeWatching TV 📺 (LifeWatch ERIC's Science Channel), within the project (watch it here: https://bit.ly/3RCpsjb);
👉 We also attended the "Science-meets-Policy" event, a first time at ECSA 61, providing an opportunity to discuss research findings from Horizon Europe projects with decision-makers.
Thank you Elsevier and for organising this great event!
