📌 DIGIT2ME – 3rd Transnational Project Meeting

On 9–10 September 2025, the Consorzio GMC Global Med Care (Italy 🇮🇹) proudly hosted the third transnational coordination meeting of the European project – Digital Mentoring for Young People with Disabilities in Rural Areas.

For two days in Scerni and Lanciano (Italy), partners from 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇸🇮 Slovenia, 🇱🇹 Lithuania, 🇹🇷 Turkey, and 🇮🇹 Italy gathered to exchange ideas, share progress, and plan the next steps of the project.

✨ Highlights of the meeting included:
✔️ A warm welcome and a comprehensive update on the project’s status, risks, and quality management.
✔️ Finalisation of WP3 – MOOC on Digital Mentoring, with partners validating content, tools, and translations.
✔️ Intensive discussions on WP4 – Pilot Implementation, defining operational plans, participant selection, training instruments, and monitoring strategies.
✔️ Forward-looking sessions on WP5 – Policy Recommendations 📑 and on enhancing the project’s dissemination and visibility 🌐.
✔️ A wrap-up session to align the consortium on deadlines, responsibilities, and the road ahead.

💡 This meeting was not only about coordination but also about reinforcing our shared commitment: to empower young people with disabilities living in rural areas through innovative digital mentoring opportunities.

🚀 As we now move into the pilot implementation phase, the upcoming months will be crucial. Together, we are building pathways towards inclusion, independence, and digital empowerment.

The Digit2Me project's digital mentoring model

Greetings to all our friends and stakeholders involved in the Digit2Me🔵 project! It's August, but our work continues! 🇪🇺

On 4th August, we met online with all the Digit2Me project partners to discuss the next steps!

Our MOOC on digital mentoring is nearing completion and refinement, and we can't wait to present it to everyone... it will be fantastic for young people with disabilities living in rural areas. 🎯

In a month's time, we will all meet in Italy 🇮🇹 at the headquarters of our partner Consorzio GMC Global Med Care , where we will continue to fine-tune the MOOC and begin discussing the pilot phases.

The Catalan partner of the project presented the digital mentoring model we are implementing as part of the Digit2Me project at the Social Action Congress entitled “For a strong social system in the face of complexity” organised by the University of Vic. This model takes into account the difficulties related to and that some vulnerable groups face.

During the event, discussed how we can implement mentoring processes adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and other social groups:

"People with disabilities have many skills and abilities. They are capable of successfully resolving their daily problems and conflicts. With the right support, they can share their knowledge and experiences, bringing about fundamental changes for those who struggle to achieve their goals. In other words, people with disabilities can mentor young people at risk of social exclusion."
