EUROLIBRARY | Green on Wheels 🚐
Day 3 ✅
Our morning started in Santa Clara, a small and peaceful village surrounded by nature. It was one of those places where time moves slower and people take their time to connect. The community was small, so we had to improvise and find creative ways to attract locals to our event. Most people were elderly, but slowly curiosity brought them closer. Some of us shared coffee with them, others helped with small house tasks, and little by little, real conversations started to happen. ☕💬
Even though it wasn’t a big event, it was full of meaning. We reminded ourselves that impact doesn’t depend on numbers but on moments of genuine connection.
Afterwards, we had a wonderful picnic by the dam, surrounded by water, nature and our van families. We shared food, talked, laughed and simply enjoyed the calm atmosphere before getting back on the road.
Then it was time to travel again. The vans hit the road toward our next destination, Odemira. Once we arrived, we had our long-awaited showers (finally!) and prepared for our third Eurolibrary event at a local center that supports migrants from India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
This evening was truly special. We sat together, exchanged life stories and experiences, and shared ideas about ecology and sustainable living. The conversations were open, honest and emotional. You could feel the respect and curiosity in the room as everyone listened and learned from one another.
Later, we all had dinner together, followed by an intercultural night filled with songs, dances and laughter. Music from India, Nepal and Bangladesh filled the space, and soon we were all dancing together, locals, migrants and our team, as one big family. It didn’t matter where we came from, what language we spoke or what our stories were. We were simply humans sharing the same joy.
It was a night to remember, full of warmth, gratitude and connection.
