Who are the Europeans? People that live in Europe? EU citizens? Or anyone who feels, at least
in part, “European”?
European identity is not, and never was, something established or stable. Perhaps, diversity is precisely what makes it so special. Especially in the uncertain times we are living through today. 🌍🗺💭
In this episode, our ESC volunteer Gloria explores what it means to “be European”, drawing on
academic research as well as data and personal experiences. But it doesn’t stop there. Through
conversations with current ESC volunteers Eva and Reyhan, and former volunteers Tara and
Una (now supervisors within the programme), we dove deep into what it means in real life to
feel, or not to feel, European, reflecting on how EU-funded mobility programmes can contribute
to shape our sense of belonging.
