17 years of fundraising in Tenerife, supporting underprivileged children and their families 💗 €650,000.00 raised since inception 🙏💗 Helping Hands in Tenerife is a fully-registered charity based in the South of Tenerife having been set up in 2009 by myself Liz Montague, Julie Lincoln and Dorothy Gardener; of whom are all full time residents in Tenerife

. I am the President of the charity and have lived on the island for over 18 years with my husband and two young sons. The team consists of myself, Julie Lincoln, Grace Cathcart, Margaret Bird Janet French & Ann Graham. The charity through it´s own social and other various fund-raising events has raised over €450,000 since inception and there are firm plans in place for more events in order to raise additional funds; principally helping the less fortunate children here on the Island. Supporting CEE Disabled School in Guargacho supporting children from 5 years to 20 years who have cerebral palsy and Centro Guaidyl in Granadilla supporting under-privileged children. We work on projects throughout the year, funding both centers in different areas, from educational material for school to activities, Christmas gifts and parties, specialised equipment for disabled children and adults, as well as individual cases, supporting families in need. Our projects have included a state of art sensory unit, sports project, park refurbishment and currently a new project to purchase specialised computers for the disabled children of Crevo Rehabilitation Center in La Oratava. As we have chosen Tenerife as our home, we collectively feel that it is important that we help the needy on this island rather than elsewhere. The charity has a regular following of approximately 1400+ ex-patriots and this number is certainly growing due to the success of previous events.
