Encounter · A Return to Your Heart

We all arrive here in the same way. From the womb we receive our first impressions, and with them we begin to build an identity: we are born where we are born, to the parents we have, in the circumstances we are given. We gather wounds, traumas, ways of protecting ourselves.
And one day, perhaps, we wake up. We see that all of it is like a great film, a vast theatre, real or unreal depending on where you look from. Voices tell us what is good and what is bad, what to do, what to let go of, what to achieve. Religions arrive, spiritual paths, all kinds of currents.
But in the end, with all of that on our shoulders, every morning we have to get up and take our steps in a direction only we can choose. We read the sages, the teachers, the philosophers and psychologists, but the work is ours to do, in our own small laboratory: in the kitchen, in the living room, in bed.
There are many tools: meditation, shamanic medicines, plants. And perhaps the most valuable, the deepest and the simplest place we can reach is love for ourselves. A love without the colour of any emotion, without conditions, present like the blood flowing through us. When you arrive there, it's like crossing a river by boat: it doesn't matter which path you took, you're already on the other shore, and you can leave the boat behind.
Ayahuasca, without disguises
If you like to drink it among feathers and icaros, that's fine. If you prefer another setting, that's fine too. But nothing specific is needed to reach your heart. What you need is to feel safe, in a place where you can be yourself, where you are understood with your fears without having to explain them. Only then can we let go of our layers of protection.
Drinking ayahuasca can be as human as drinking water, or embracing someone with an open heart. Traditions are the memories of people who walked the path and wanted to leave footprints for others. But the path is always yours: even when two people walk together, each walks it in their own way.
Here, no one will tell you which door to open or which icaro to sing. If you empty out everything that pushes inside you, what remains is you. Nothing more. It is so simple the mind may think it's too little, but when you get there, you recognise it.
What can open
A reunion with yourself. Embracing your past, thanking your wounds, making peace with your family, with your path, with your peculiarity. Embracing your mistakes and your quirks. Loving yourself as you would a good friend. And nothing more needs to be added.
