‼️WITHDRAWAL ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

We regret to confirm that solo rower Vic Handley (UK) of Team City of Derby has had to withdraw from the World’s Toughest Row Atlantic 2024.

Shortly after this morning’s race start on December 11th, Vic encountered unexpected technical issues. Despite all equipment being thoroughly tested and approved beforehand, some challenges are simply beyond control.

‼️Update‼️

Vic has now been towed safely back in by one of our Support Vessels and is now back on land.

We would like to acknowledge Vic’s incredible effort and preparation leading up to the race. His determination and spirit embody the true essence of this challenge.

Race Director Carsten Heron announced today that, due to weather conditions, the race start has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 11th December (AM). 1 day earlier than planned.
