VERY SPECIAL FOSTER OPPORTUNITY!
Every so often a dog or cat comes along who needs a very special family to give them the life they deserve and Luffy is definitely one of those animals!
Luffy has ataxia, which basically means he can't walk. He's a normal cat in pretty much every aspect except that one and he has so much joy and love to give that we believe he'd make a wonderful friend for the right family. His care needs are a bit different from a regular cat but not excessively so. According to his current foster mom:
"Luffy is a sweet angel baby and he can do no wrong! He sleeps for like 16hours a day and when he's awake he's a chill guy. Chews on his stick, plays with a ball, eats some kibble, rest and repeat! Luffy is super easy all things considering. Like a normal cat he wants endless scratches behind the ear and under the chin. He likes to observe his household and wants to supervise! Like a human baby he has meal times, potty breaks, and play time on a routine to make sure a he's happy and healthy! In a caregiver Luffy needs someone with lots of love to give, and enough time to help him for breakfast midday lunch and dinner! A few times a day he needs to be put inside the litter box and in front of his food bowl and then he can take over! When he's done in the bathroom or eating he likes to sit outside and bird watch, or lay on the couch and groom himself, or maybe sit of the floor and play and just watch life happen in the home. But most of the day he sleeps."
Unfortunately his foster family is about to PCS and it would be too stressful to put Luffy through that much travel so we're looking for a new family to help him live his best life! While fostering, all veterinary care is covered by RAWL; you'd be responsible for his food/litter/etc. and care but we'll pay any and all vet bills.
