We want to give a big thank you to the first volunteer group to join us in this new venture as part of the initial stages of the LIFE Oasis Project, which looks at sea turtle ecology, ghost gear presence and effects, and developing a sustainable fishing scheme alongside artisanal fishers.

What a great start to our Oasis Tramuntana Expeditions. Your energy and passion have been admirable as they also aligned with our core values and what a project like this needed for it to ignite. You will be missed.
During this week, there have been days of hard work on land and at sea, and it has been a very productive first week. Mobula rays, striped dolphins, swordfish, and turtles were sighted. Unfortunately, we encountered a vast amount of marine litter, including ghost FADs (Fish Aggregation Devices), which were retrieved and will be reported to the platform of and www.artesperdidos.es

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to Gori and his family for allowing us to collaborate on this project and for their support; this would not have been possible without them.

We are excited to greet the new participants today. Future participants will continue helping us with the maintenance and restoration works at Can Canyelles—Alnitak Base and the surveys at sea.
For more fruitful months ahead!
