RIP .. Dear colleagues,

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Gianpaolo Bellini, founder of ISAPP and a central figure in its history.

Gianpaolo’s scientific vision, dedication, and enthusiasm were instrumental in creating ISAPP and shaping the community that has grown around it. For many of us, however, his contribution went far beyond his scientific achievements: he was a colleague, a mentor, and a friend whose personality and intellectual curiosity left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.

His passing is a profound loss for our community and for the wider field to which he devoted so much of his life.

I thought it was important that all ISAPP colleagues be informed and that, together, we remember with gratitude the person who made this collaboration possible in the first place.

My thoughts are with his family and with all those who were close to him.
