“Being offline was one of the most connecting experiences.”
— Katherine Choynowska de Lubicz
In a world where our phones never stop buzzing, stepping away from the screen can feel uncomfortable at first… but that’s exactly where the real magic happens. When we disconnect from notifications, we reconnect with presence: eye contact, shared meals, deep conversations, and the simple feeling of actually being where we are.
Lately I’ve been reminded that the strongest bonds aren’t built in DMs or comments, but around tables, on long walks, and in the little moments where no one is filming. Going offline isn’t escaping life, it’s returning to it.
If you’ve been feeling drained or overstimulated, this is your sign to take a break from the feed and be fully present with the people right in front of you. You might be surprised by how connected you feel when the Wi‑Fi is off.
