🚨❤️ **URGENT APPEAL — PLEASE HELP US HELP A YOUNG MUM & HER BABY** ❤️🚨
Last night at around **10pm**, A Helping Hand received a phone call that absolutely broke our hearts.
We were asked if we had somewhere safe for a **19-year-old young woman fleeing domestic abuse** to stay for the night.
Sadly, accommodation isn't something we have the resources to provide, but when we were told that she is **8 months pregnant and has virtually nothing for herself or her baby**, we knew there had to be something we could do. ❤️
Today she is going for her **first scan**.
At 8 months pregnant.
She has been so isolated and controlled that she hasn't even had the normal pregnancy care and appointments that most of us would take for granted. 😭
She has already been through more than any 19-year-old should have to endure. Now, while she is trying to find safety and rebuild her life, she also has to prepare to bring a tiny baby into the world with almost nothing.
**So we're begging our amazing community to help us give this mum and baby a fresh start.** 🙏❤️
We are desperately looking for **new or clean, good-condition preloved baby items**, including:
👶 A pram/pushchair
👶 Newborn & 0–3 month clothes — **neutral colours please, as we don't know baby's gender yet**
👶 MAM baby bottles
👶 Moses basket/crib and bedding
👶 Blankets & cellular blankets
👶 Nappies — newborn & size 1
👶 Baby wipes
👶 Muslins & bibs
👶 Baby bath & towels
👶 Baby toiletries
👶 Changing mat
👶 Baby grows, vests, hats & socks
👶 Maternity pads and essentials for Mum
👶 And **anything else a newborn baby and new mum will need**.
