Sometimes it’s a cruel, cruel world that we live in 😢

Sadly today a beautiful 4 - 6 week old tiny little male kitten was found dumped in a hedge on a main road in Mollina.

Now named “Tiny Tim”, he had managed to fight his way out of a cardboard box, but was understandably, terrified as well as dehydrated, very hungry and also injured.

Many thanks to the very kind man who spent an hour helping Gerry and Lesley catch this poor little man 🙏. If it hadn’t been for the determination of everyone involved, Tiny Tim’ outlook would have been very bleak.

TT was rushed straight to the vets, where he received emergency treatment for his injuries, given painkillers and is now on a course of antibiotics. We are all hoping that he will make a full recovery, but for sure he has lost at least one of his nine life’s.

For now “TT” is in a foster home where he will continue with his medication and rehabilitation until he is well enough to be placed up for adoption.

If you feel that you are able to offer him a new loving permanent home when he has recovered then please get in touch or share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Thank you 🙏

what happens when you’ve been playing all morning, then had your lunch ?

Well it’s siesta time obviously. And when you need to sleep, you need to sleep 💤 so anywhere will do. Yes these kittens do have comfortable beds to sleep in, but in this heat the floor is the coolest place to have a cat nap .

These are the kittens that we were appealing for homes for last week. Sadly some of them are still looking for loving homes to go to when they are old enough to leave their mummy.

Their weaning is going well and they are now using a litter tray. Their little personalities are developing and they are all becoming confident little cats.

If you can help, please got in touch or share the post to reach as many people as possible. Thank you 🙏

KITTEN UPDATE

After a busy weekend of people sharing the post and us contacting various rescues in the area, and further afield, we are delighted that the two ginger and white boys have been reserved and will go to their new homes when they are old enough to leave their mummy.

That leaves little Luna and Sooty (females) and Oreo (black and white male) still looking for their fur ever homes.

Please keep spreading the word and let’s get these adorable babies the best homes 🙏

‼️ WARNING- this post contains cuteness overload

We are appealing for homes for these five bundles of gorgeousness 😍

Currently they are just over 3 weeks of age and so won’t be ready to move to their new homes for another 4-5 weeks.

Ideally we would recommend that they are homed in pairs or with an existing playful cat so they don’t get lonely.

Mum is only young herself, but she is doing a fantastic job of rearing them. Thankfully mum has a new loving home. We just hope her babies are as lucky 🤞🏼

If you are able to offer a permanent loving home for one or two, then please get in touch. You can also help by sharing this post so we can reach as many people as possible. Thank you 🙏

Say hello to the beautiful Chicca 💕
Approximately 5yr old female neutered

Chicca arrived at one of the street colonies a couple of years ago. While initially she was understandably scared of her new environment and uncertain of Gerry and Lesley as her carers, she soon learnt what time food arrived and to trust people.

Recently Chicca has been in a foster home, while she recovered from a chest infection. It is evident that she has been in a home environment before and she loves the creature comforts of a comfortable bed and scratching post. She eats well and loves to play with toys and interacts well with her fosterers. She is a clean girl and uses her litter tray.

She can be a sassy lady and her personality has really shone through in a home. She can be a real comedian with a mischievous (but not in any way nasty) side. She can also be very affectionate.

While she does currently live with other cats, she from time to time likes to let them know that she is the boss, so for this reason, we think she would prefer to be an only pet in a new home so all the attention can be lavished on her.

Chicca’ foster home is only temporary and we really don’t want to have to burst her bubble and let her go back out onto the streets. If you can help please get in touch or share this post to help Chicca.

⭐️HELP NEEDED⭐️

We are in need of some help with our work trapping, neutering, releasing and feeding the feral cats of Mollina

Do you have a couple of hours free in the mornings once a week, fortnight or month to help us feed the street cats.

What would you need to do?

Prepare the food trays occasionally (food and trays all provided)
Drive to the designated locations in Mollina
Feed the cats and provide fresh water
Collect the empty trays
Ensure that they have clean bedding

What are the benefits?

You are truly making a difference

It is so rewarding when the feral cats that are so scared of humans come running towards you because you are their only source of food and they eventually learn to trust you. It just makes your heart melt ❤️

You will be registered at the town hall as a street cat feeder under the new Spanish animal welfare law

It gets you out in the community and you are helping control the numbers in the colonies

You will never work alone - we always work in pairs.

If you feel that you could help then please get in touch or share the post so that we can reach as many people as possible

Many thanks 🙏
