Procedures for Nominations and Voting for the GLAY Awards
(Approved by the General Meeting of June 26, 2015)
Nominations:
All members of the public are eligible to nominate potential candidates or venues to be placed on the Ballot Sheet in the category they feel most appropriate. The categories will be announced shortly:
All nominations must be submitted via e-mail, to ensure t
hat the nominations are made democratically and accounted for, and may be verified by any GLAY member upon request. All incoming e-mails will be verified by a minimum of two persons,
If the nomination is for an individual person, only the 2 highest nominated persons per venue, per category, will be placed on the Ballot Sheet to ensure that individuals from each venue has the opportunity to appear on the Ballot Sheet. If an individual or venue has been nominated in an incorrect category, GLAY reserves the right to reallocate the nomination to the most appropriate category. The nomination will be added to the number of received nominations in the correct category. Ballot Sheets:
Once all nominations have been received and the nomination period closes, all nominations will be counted as per the above noted process and the Ballot Sheets will be prepared in preparation for the Voting process. The Ballot Sheets will be used for the GLAY members’ voting-procedure
The Ballot Sheets will be used as content for the Public Voting procedure
Audit Controls:
A paper trail of the entire proceedings regarding this election will be archived by GLAY for a period of 6 months for review by GLAY members at any time within that period. The Management Committee will rule if and when a discrepancy is noted
All individuals involved with the calculation and collecting of votes will attest to the accuracy of the results in writing, with signature
Any ruling made by the Management Committee of GLAY regarding Election Results will be publicly published. All Election results are available to any and all GLAY members upon request
