Epidermolysis bullosa (EB) is an inherited connective tissue disease causing blisters in the skin and mucosal membranes, with an incidence of 1/50,000.

DEBRA Spain, The Butterfly Children Charity is a NGO, charity dedicated to helping people living with Epidermolysis bullosa (EB), known as Butterfly skin in Spain. Its severity ranges from mild to lethal. It is caused by a mutation in the keratin or collagen gene. As a result, the skin is extremely fragile. Minor mechanical friction or trauma will separate the layers of the skin and form blisters.

People with this condition have an increased risk of cancers of the skin, and many will eventually be diagnosed with it as a complication of the chronic damage done to the skin.

🦋🦋€2,600 was raised by Sue Rogers from her Stratosphere Sky Jump in Las Vegas for DEBRA. Wow not only did Sue jump off the Stratosphere once for our charity but twice. What an amazing achievement and a BIG THANK YOU to Sue and everyone who sponsored her for raising awareness and funds for our charity.

This was the hardest question Nati had to answer in her 15 years as a nurse. But it wasn’t the only one.

2 de Marzo de 2025, Sue Rogers, de 72 años, voluntaria de Debra, saltará de la torre Stratosphere en Las Vegas para recaudar dinero y generar conciencia para la organización benéfica DEBRA España para niños con EB.

Es el salto de cielo más alto del mundo.

El salto es de 829 pies de altura y se cae 40 millas por hora.

🦋 Today we are launching a social media campaign for International Butterfly Skin day called 'Healing Wounds', to raise awareness on the effects of Butterfly Skin on mental health.

🫂 Our challenge is to raise € 25,000 to recruit a new psychologist to join the team. This year we are asking for your help to raise important funding to reach our target, so that we can continue to offer support which is fundamental to the health of our families.
