🇪🇸 Uganda no es solo el lugar donde está nuestra escuela.
Es un país que merece ser descubierto, respetado y disfrutado. 🇺🇬

Diez días inolvidables rodeados de infinitos tonos de verde, lugares extraordinarios y personas que nos hicieron sentir como en casa.

Vivimos Uganda de la forma más bonita: descubriendo el país como viajeros y, al mismo tiempo, compartiendo momentos muy especiales con los niños que dan sentido a Building the Future.

Cada parte del viaje fue organizada con muchísimo cariño por Poshe, nuestro maravilloso guía local de .travel.ug , quien nos mostró su país a través de los ojos de alguien que lo conoce y lo ama profundamente.

Visita Uganda. Recorre el país sin prisas. Respeta su tierra, descubre su cultura y conecta con su gente.

Puede que llegues atraído por su belleza…
pero regresarás llevando Uganda en el corazón. ❤️

Ten unforgettable days surrounded by endless shades of green, extraordinary places and people who made us feel completely welcome.

We experienced Uganda in the most beautiful way: exploring it as travellers while also spending meaningful time with the children who are at the heart of Building the Future.

Every part of our journey was thoughtfully arranged by Poshe, our wonderful local guide from .travel.ug , who showed us his country through the eyes of someone who truly knows and loves it.

Visit Uganda. Take your time. Respect its land, embrace its culture and connect with its people.

You may arrive for its beauty…
but you will leave carrying Uganda in your heart. ❤️

🇪🇸 En marzo compramos una batería en Uganda para la clase de música de nuestra escuela. 🥁

Tomás Gasset sentaba a cada niño a su lado, le hacía una pregunta muy sencilla:

“¿Qué quieres ser de mayor?”

Después de escuchar su respuesta, tocaban juntos un poquito. Como si cada sueño mereciera su propia música.

Hasta que llegó su turno.

Cogió las baquetas y empezó a tocar con un ritmo que nos dejó a todos mirando. No sabemos todavía qué será de mayor, pero aquel día descubrimos algo que ya llevaba dentro.

Quizá construir el futuro empiece precisamente así: preguntando a un niño por sus sueños, escuchándolo de verdad… y dándole la oportunidad de hacerlos sonar. ❤️

🇬🇧 In March, we bought a drum kit in Uganda for the music classroom at our school. 🥁

Tomás Gasset invited each child to sit beside him and asked one simple question:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

After listening to their answer, they would play together for a moment as if every dream deserved its own soundtrack.

Then came this boy’s turn.

He picked up the drumsticks and played with a rhythm that made everyone stop and watch.

Perhaps building the future begins exactly like this: asking a child about their dreams, truly listening… and giving them the opportunity to make those dreams heard. ❤️

Tu obra fue mucho más que una pieza de nuestra subasta. Fue una oportunidad para seguir ayudando, una muestra de que el arte también puede construir futuro.

Pero hay algo que valoramos todavía más que tu donación: tenerte cerca, saber que podemos contar contigo y sentirte parte de esta gran familia.

Porque BTF se construye con personas que creen, que se implican y que deciden estar.

🇪🇸 Hay personas que viajan a Uganda y regresan con recuerdos. Álvaro Lucena regresó con un compromiso. ❤️ ALVARO LUCENA

Después de varios viajes y de muchos entrenamientos compartidos con los niños, creó Rwenzori Athletics, el club de atletismo de la escuela construida por Building the Future en Kasese.

Cada vez que Álvaro vuelve, se calza las zapatillas y entrena junto a ellos. Porque Rwenzori Athletics es mucho más que correr: es disciplina, confianza, compañerismo y nuevos sueños.

Ahora, gracias a la Carrera Solidaria organizada por Run⚡On: SBE Marbella Media Maratón Run-On, el club recibirá 4.000 € para seguir creciendo, entrenando y creando oportunidades para estos niños.

Gracias, Álvaro, por demostrarnos que el verdadero compromiso no consiste solamente en ir, sino en volver. Una y otra vez. ❤️

Y gracias a Run-On y a cada persona que participará en la carrera. Cada kilómetro recorrido aquí ayudará a que ellos puedan llegar más lejos allí.

After several trips and countless training sessions with the children, he created Rwenzori Athletics, the athletics club at the school built by Building the Future in Kasese.

Every time Álvaro returns, he laces up his running shoes and trains alongside them. Because Rwenzori Athletics is about much more than running: it’s about discipline, confidence, teamwork, and new dreams.

Now, thanks to the charity race organised by Run-On, the club will receive €4,000 to continue growing, training, and creating opportunities for these children.

Thank you, Álvaro, for showing us that true commitment isn’t just about going—it’s about coming back. Again and again. ❤️

And thank you to Run-On and everyone taking part in the race. Every kilometre run here will help them go further there.

🇪🇸 Hay actuaciones que se ven… y otras que se sienten en toda la sala. 🔥

Los bailarines de The Basement - Dance Studios Marbella llenaron la Cena BTF de fuerza, talento y una energía imposible de olvidar.

Desde el primer movimiento consiguieron que todas las miradas se dirigieran hacia ellos y convirtieron el escenario en uno de los momentos más espectaculares de la noche.

Pero lo que más valoramos no es solo su enorme talento, sino la generosidad y el corazón con los que decidieron formar parte de una noche creada para cambiar vidas.

Gracias a todo el equipo de The Basement Marbella por vuestra entrega, vuestra energía y por regalarnos un momento que todavía seguimos recordando.

The dancers from The Basement Marbella brought incredible talent, power and unforgettable energy to the BTF Dinner.

From the very first move, all eyes were on them, turning their performance into one of the most spectacular moments of the evening.

But what meant the most to us was not only their extraordinary talent, but also the generosity and heart they showed by being part of a night dedicated to changing lives.

Thank you to the entire The Basement Marbella team for your commitment, your energy and for giving us a moment we are still talking about.

🇪🇸 Ilde, queríamos daros las gracias de corazón a ti y a tu hermana. ❤️

Gracias por estar, por vuestra ayuda, por vuestra generosidad y, sobre todo, por el cariño con el que hicisteis todo. En una noche tan importante para nosotros, sentir que teníamos a nuestro lado a personas como vosotras lo hizo todo mucho más fácil y todavía más especial.

Detrás de una cena así hay muchísimos detalles y muchísimas personas, pero hay ayudas que se sienten de una manera diferente. La vuestra fue una de ellas.

Gracias a las dos y gracias a por formar parte de esta noche y ayudarnos a hacerla posible. Espero que sepáis lo mucho que lo valoramos y lo agradecidos que estamos de haberos tenido cerca.
