My Double Rainbow 🌈🤍

Today, on National Rainbow Baby Day, I’m holding my three beautiful babies a little closer in my heart.

Sienna was never the storm. 🤍 She was never the darkness that came before my rainbow. She was my rainbow. She brought so much beauty, love and light into my life, even in the heartbreak of losing her.

And then came Leo… my double rainbow. 🌈🌈 My beautiful boy, who carries so much of his sister with him. In his smile, in the little things he does, and in the love I feel for him, I see pieces of her everywhere.

I wish with all my heart that my babies could have grown up together. That Sienna could have met her little brother, held him, loved him and watched him grow.

But I know this much: my babies are loved beyond words. One is here in my arms, and one lives forever in my heart. And somehow, through the deepest pain and the greatest love, they both brought so much colour into my world. 🌈🤍

My Sienna.
My Leo.
My two rainbows.
My forever loves. 🩷🩵

Always my babies. Always my double rainbow. 🌈🌈

Today I found a photo of Sienna that I don’t ever remember seeing before. 🩷

It completely stopped me in my tracks.

I looked at her and all I could think was… how?

How could someone so perfect, so beautifully formed, so loved, just be gone?

The day before she was kicking. That morning she was still moving. She was ready to enter the world. We were ready to meet her. Then, in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

Looking at this photo, she doesn’t look like she had passed . She doesn’t look anything other than absolutely beautiful. She looks like she’s peacefully sleeping, waiting to be scooped up, kissed and taken home.

I’ll never understand why this happened. I don’t know if I ever will.

I think that’s one of the hardest parts of stillbirth. Your arms are empty, yet your baby is right there in front of you, looking so perfect. Your heart struggles to make sense of something that simply doesn’t make sense.

I’ll forever wonder who you would have become. What your voice would have sounded like. Whether you would have had my smile or your daddy’s eyes. How you would have loved your little brother.

Today, this unexpected photo reminded me that although your life was heartbreakingly short, you were real. You were here. You are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and remembered every single day.

Forever my daughter.
Forever my firstborn.
Forever my beautiful Sienna. 🤍

& Leo is her double everyday I see more of Sienna in him 🩵

💜 Our 8th Cuddle Cot is on its way.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve now been able to order our 8th Cuddle Cot. So far, €1,960 has been spent on the cot itself, with customs and shipping still to come.

This cot will be donated to the Maternal Unit at Quirónsalud Seville, where it will provide bereaved families with the priceless gift of extra time with their baby after loss allowing them to hold them, create precious memories, introduce loved ones, and say goodbye without feeling rushed.

I’m also honoured to be working alongside Natalie from Oliver’s Legacy, helping with their waiting list of hospitals across Spain so that together we can bring this vital support to even more families.

Every donation, every share, and every message of support is helping us make a real difference. Thank you for helping turn Sienna’s legacy into something that brings comfort, compassion, and precious time to others. 🤍

I often wonder what you would be like now, my beautiful Sienna. 🤍

Today, you would be 18 months old. I wonder if you would be running around with your little unsteady steps, what your favourite words would be, what would make you laugh, and what your little personality would be like.

I wonder what your smile would look like, what your favourite toy would be, and how it would feel to hold you in my arms and watch you grow.

There are so many things I will never know, and so many moments I will never get to experience with you. But I will always wonder, always remember, and always love you.

You may not have had the chance to grow up in my arms, but you will forever grow in my heart.

Happy 18 months, my beautiful baby girl.
Forever my Sienna. Forever my baby.
Loved beyond words, missed beyond measure. 🤍

Birth trauma awareness week hits different when you’ve lived it…

The bright lights.
The constant beeping of monitors.
The rush of footsteps.
The panic in everyone’s voices.
The IVs.
The shaking.
The waiting.
The fear of not knowing what was about to happen next.

Some people remember the day they gave birth with joy.

Others remember the sounds, the smells, the feeling of losing control, and the moments that replay in their minds long after they leave the hospital.

Birth trauma doesn’t always stay in the delivery room.
Sometimes it follows you into future pregnancies.
Sometimes it shows up in nightmares, anxiety, or the way your heart races at the sound of a monitor.

It’s Birth Trauma Awareness Week.

For everyone whose birth story still hurts to remember… your experience matters, and so does your healing.

We bought you flowers today. 🌻🩷

Every Friday, I try to buy you flowers. I don’t have a grave to visit, so your urn sits in my room instead. I like it to look beautiful. It brings me comfort knowing there’s a little space that is yours, somewhere I can stop, look at you, and let you know I’m thinking of you.

Leo and I chose them together. We stood there deciding between pink flowers and sunflowers, but the day was so bright and warm that sunflowers just felt like you.

Then tonight, something hit me. Every single evening when I brush Leo’s hair, I reach for your little hairbrush with your name on it. I smooth down his little side part, tame his stubborn cowlick, and without even realising it, you’ve been part of that moment all along. A tiny, ordinary ritual that quietly keeps you close.

You’re woven into our days in so many ways. Sometimes it’s intentional, and sometimes it just happens. But either way, you’re here. You’re remembered. You’re loved.

I see you in Leo more than I could ever explain. Little expressions, little mannerisms, moments that catch me completely off guard. Sometimes they make me smile. Sometimes they break my heart.

People often ask how you move forward after losing a child. The truth is, you don’t move on from them you move forward with them. You carry them into every season of your life. You love them in the only way you can.

I mother my babies differently now.

I get to kiss one goodnight, tuck him into bed, brush his hair and hear his laughter.

And I get to buy flowers for the other. I whisper her name. I tell her about our days. I imagine who she’d be becoming, and I hold her close in all the ways that are invisible to everyone else.

Leo is the absolute apple of my eye, and I thank the universe for him every single day. He has brought so much joy back into our lives. But loving him with everything I have will never mean I stopped loving or longing for Sienna . Love doesn’t work like that. It never runs out. It only grows.

So every Friday, we’ll keep buying your flowers.

We’ll keep saying your name.

We’ll keep making space for you in our home, in our conversations, and in our hearts.

Because you will always be our daughter. 🩷

You will always be Leo’s big sister.

And I will always be so incredibly proud to be your mummy.

🤍 Sometimes I close my eyes and imagine just one more moment…
One more cuddle.
One more kiss.
One more chance to hold the baby my heart still longs for every single day.

Grief has taught me something I never imagined:
Love doesn’t end when a heartbeat stops.
It simply changes form, becoming a part of who we are forever.

If you’re carrying the quiet pain of pregnancy loss, infant loss, or the loss of a child, I want you to know this:

🌸 Your baby will always matter.
🤍 Your motherhood is real and valid.
🕊️ Your love is everlasting, and your baby’s memory will always have a place in this world.

You are not forgotten, and neither is your precious child.

💜 July is National Bereaved Parents Month 💜

For most people, bringing a baby home is filled with hope and excitement. For some families, it is filled with unimaginable heartbreak.

National Bereaved Parents Month is a time to remember every precious baby gone too soon, honour every family living with loss, and raise awareness of the support bereaved parents need during the darkest days of their lives.

One piece of equipment that can make an incredible difference is a CuddleCot.

A CuddleCot is a cooling system that allows parents to spend precious extra time with their baby after they have died. Time that would otherwise be taken away far too quickly. It gives families the opportunity to hold their baby, introduce siblings and grandparents, create treasured memories, take photographs, make hand and footprints, and simply be together without feeling rushed.

Those moments become priceless memories that families carry with them forever.

💜 Sienna’s Legacy was created so that no family has to miss out on those precious moments because a hospital doesn’t have the equipment they need.

We are now just €641 away from purchasing CuddleCot No. 9 to donate to one of the hospitals currently on our waiting list.

With July being National Bereaved Parents Month, it would mean the world to reach this goal before the end of the month.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post could help us reach someone who can.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who has supported Sienna’s Legacy so far. Because of your kindness, more families have been given the gift of time with their babies when they needed it most.

For all the families. For all the babies. 💜
