🇬🇧 A second shipment of much-needed items has now been delivered to flood victims in San Martín de Tesorillo, thanks to the generosity of the public following the appeal organised by the Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George.

With this latest delivery, the total value of goods provided has reached almost €23,000, helping families replace essential household items lost in the February floods. The supplies delivered by the Charity include 19 washing machines, 17 cookers, 18 fridge-freezers, 22 dehumidifiers, three industrial cleaners, one space heater, seven hobs, along with a number of tabletop ovens, microwaves and other urgently needed appliances.

This vital support has been made possible through the hard work of Jojo France and Katherine Grant, who organised a series of successful fundraising events, the Bernardo Muñoz Store in Sabinillas for overseeing the logistics and offering a substantial discount, and the remarkable generosity of everyone who contributed.

Un segundo envío de artículos muy necesarios ha sido entregado ya a las víctimas de las inundaciones en San Martín de Tesorillo, gracias a la generosidad del público tras el llamamiento organizado por la Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George.

Con esta última entrega, el valor total de los bienes suministrados alcanza ya casi los 23.000 euros, ayudando a las familias a reponer enseres básicos del hogar perdidos en las inundaciones de febrero. Entre los artículos entregados por la asociación se incluyen 19 lavadoras, 17 cocinas, 18 frigoríficos-congeladores, 22 deshumidificadores, tres limpiadoras industriales, un calefactor, siete placas de cocina, además de varios hornos de sobremesa, microondas y otros electrodomésticos de primera necesidad.

La primera entrega de los artículos de primera necesidad solicitados por las autoridades locales de San Martín de Tesorillo para apoyar a los vecinos afectados por las devastadoras inundaciones se realizó ayer, viernes 27 de febrero.

El envío incluyó deshumidificadores, frigoríficos-congeladores, lavadoras, cocinas y placas, microondas y otros electrodomésticos esenciales para ayudar a las familias a comenzar a reconstruir sus hogares y retomar su vida cotidiana.

🇬🇧 A Charity Music Event will take place on Sunday 22nd March at Duquesa Golf Club, starting at 6:30 pm, to mark an important local milestone — hair stylist Luis Seren’s 50th anniversary in the profession.

The evening will feature live performances by the Love to Sing Choir, Daniela Caballero and Juan Belmonte, who are all generously donating their time and talent. Entry is by a €10 donation, with proceeds going to both the AECC Cancer Charity and the Saint George Charity.

Tickets are available from Peluquería Luis Seren, Bar Plaza in Plaza Vicente Espinel, and the Saint George Charity Shop in Calle Bolivia (near Sabinillas Bookshop).
