España es el país más avanzado de Europa en derechos LGTBIQA+ pero no podemos dormirnos 💤

Hoy se ha celebrado el Madrid Summit, la Conferencia Internacional Derechos Humanos a favor del colectivo. Los derechos no se heredan, se defienden y se protegen. Si no se avanza, se termina retrocediendo.

No trans person is unconstitutional. A rally for trans rights after a recent deliberation of the Spanish Constitutional Court where two progressive justices joined conservatives to oppose the self identification-based gender recognition section of the trans law passed in 2023.

Melibea Obono, Somos parte del mundo adviser & speaker at this year’s Madrid Summit hosted by Spain’s Comisión Europea en España and Parlamento Europeo - Oficina en España, has been arbitrarily detained in Equatorial Guinea for her feminist & LGBTIQA+ activism.

We call for her immediate release.

Ayer contamos con la actriz, guionista y directora Abril Zamora para leer la declaración Madrid Summit-Mado Madrid Orgullo (miembro orgulloso de European Pride Organisers Association) del Día Internacional contra la LGTBIfobia en la Sveriges ambassad i Madrid / Embajada de Suecia en Madrid.

En la declaración pedimos al Gobierno Sueco, que tiene ahora la Presidencia del Consejo de la Unión Europea, y a todas las instituciones europeas que no bajen la guardia ante el auge de los extremismos que provocan el aumento de la LGTBIfobia, la xenofobia, el racismo, el machismo, y todos tipos de rechazo, aversión, antipatía, u odio dirigido a cualquier grupo de personas.

Le damos las gracias al Embajador Teppo Tauriainen por recibirnos, por sus palabras, y por su compromiso con el movimiento del Orgullo.



Yesterday actress, screenwriter and director Abril Zamora read the Madrid Summit-MADO Madrid Pride (Proud Member of EPOA) declaration for the International Day against LGBTIphobia at the Swedish Embassy in Madrid.

In the declaration we ask the Swedish Government, which now holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and all the European institutions not to lower their guard against the rise of extremism that causes the increase in LGBTIphobia, xenophobia, racism, machismo, and all kinds of rejection, aversion, antipathy, or hatred directed at any group of people.

We thank Ambassador Teppo Tauriainen for receiving us, for his words, and for his commitment to the Pride movement.
