Do you remember the Italian girls spending their summer in Madrid? Well, here's a little update from their latest adventure… this time from Marbella!

As part of their Erasmus+ internship journey at MONAT Gallery in Madrid, some of our trainees stepped outside the gallery walls and experienced the art world from a new perspective.
They travelled together to take part in the Marbella Art Fair 2026, not just as visitors, but becoming part of the process behind an international event.

The Marbella Art Fair brought together contemporary art, Mediterranean lifestyle and international collectors, creating a space where creativity meets new trends, connections and opportunities in the art market.

Seeing an international fair from the inside gave them a new perspective on the work they are contributing to every day. A big thank you to MONAT Gallery for involving them in such a valuable event. 🌍

A glimpse into our Erasmus+ trainees’ experience in Madrid!

Meet Aya and Saladin, two German participants who are currently joining their Erasmus+ traineeship in Madrid, discovering a different professional reality in two different fields.

🦷 Aya is carrying out her traineeship at a dental clinic where she is learning about the daily activities of the clinic, supporting the team and gaining insights into the healthcare sector.
📚 Saladin is working at a language institute, a language school where he is immersed in a multicultural environment, discovering the impact that learning a language can have on people’s lives.

Beyond the tasks and responsibilities, what really stands out is seeing how much they are enjoying and how proud they are of the work they are doing. 🌍

New workplace? Check. New city? Check. New people, new routines and lots of things to discover? Absolutely! Through Erasmus+, Aya and Saladin are living all the little moments that make this experience abroad truly unique.

Tech minds, Madrid vibes & zero secrets left in Retiro! 🇵🇹🇪🇸

Today we wrap up an unforgettable Erasmus+ journey with 3 Portuguese interns! Over the past few weeks, these brilliant minds dove headfirst into Madrid’s tech scene, tackling coding and software projects across two different local companies with non-stop enthusiasm.

To wrap up this experience in style, we spent their final day exploring the iconic Retiro Park, diving deep into its rich history, hidden spots, and local secrets!
Right there in the park, we handed over their certificates, shared plenty of laughs, and listened closely to their valuable feedback (because we’re always aiming to grow, just like them!).

Muito obrigado and safe trip back home, team! Now... time to officially welcome the summer holidays! ☀️

Here's a small snapshot of what the MAD for Europe team has been up to over the last few months.

It’s been a fast-paced journey filled with hard work and long days, but the rewards and milestones are even bigger. Seeing all these achievements makes every single effort completely worth it!
We are so proud of how far we’ve come and, more than ever, energised to expand our network, launch new projects, and step out of our comfort zone with exciting new challenges.

Seeing all of this in one frame is proof of what happens when you put your heart into the work: it just fuels our fire! Huge thanks to everyone sharing this ride with us.🇪🇺

Behind every Erasmus+ mobility, there are people who choose to invest their time in young people.🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Today we’d like to say a special thank you to MONAT GALLERY for welcoming and mentoring our Italian and Portuguese trainees here in Madrid. By opening the doors of their gallery, they are giving these young people the chance to grow by stepping outside their comfort zone.

This is also a great opportunity to thank all the companies, schools, organisations and training centres we have the pleasure of working with. Whether they have been with us for years or have only recently joined the Erasmus+ journey, they all have one thing in common: the willingness to support students and give them valuable learning opportunities.

We truly appreciate the trust, commitment and enthusiasm of every partner who helps make these experiences so special. We couldn’t do it without you.
