CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS!
Building on the success of the first session of Mentoring and Coaching 2026, which gathered university student extensionists last April 10, 2026, the BU Extension Management Division (BUEMD), through the Training and Technical Support Services Department (TTSSD), continues its commitment to strengthening the competencies of the BU community in community-based extension work.
For the second session, entitled "Technology Transfer as an Extension Service Modality," which will be held on August 25, 2026, at Bicol Food Delights, Gogon, Legazpi City, participants will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to bridge the gap between innovations generated in laboratories and research institutions and their practical applications among farmers, local communities, and local enterprises. The session aims to strengthen the capacities of extension workers and researchers in facilitating technology transfer, fostering innovation adoption, and translating research outputs into sustainable and community-responsive development initiatives.
With only thirty (30) slots available, the training is designed to provide a focused, interactive, and high-impact learning experience that fosters meaningful engagement and collaboration among faculty extensionists.
This training is free of charge for all selected participants. Snacks and lunch will be provided throughout the program.
Participants will engage in discussions on the latest developments in extension systems, foundations of technology transfer, intellectual property and regulatory frameworks, and enterprise development and commercialization pathways, enabling them to translate research and innovation into tangible societal impact.
