Costa del Sol sounds like one choice.

It is really dozens of towns, and the one you land on decides your monthly budget and your daily routine, right down to whether you can manage without a car.

➡️ Malaga is a proper city with everything open all year.
➡️ Marbella is the polished, pricey end.
➡️ Estepona gives you coastal charm with more of a Spanish feel for less.
➡️ Fuengirola is dense, well connected, and easy to get around without a car.
➡️ Nerja is the quiet, scenic one, as long as you do not mind a slower winter.

Those are five of many, and there is no best town here.

Only the one that fits how you actually want to live.

That is the whole point of getting this right before you commit to a lease or a purchase.

Some consulates are closed. Some release appointments at specific times. Others are working reasonably well.

If you’re planning your move, don’t build your timeline around an appointment you haven’t secured yet.

1. Will pre-existing conditions be covered by insurers? The honest answer is that it depends on the policy and the condition. Some insurers cover them, some apply a waiting period, some exclude them. It’s rarely a flat yes or no, which is exactly why comparing policies properly matters.

2. Are dental and vision included? Usually not as standard. They tend to be add-ons, or they sit on a higher tier, and the detail varies a lot between providers.
