We have two wonderful adult daughters, Ashley and Allie, and a fantastic son-in-law, Joey. Our story began back when we were teens and God called both of us into the ministry. Over time, it became apparent to us and our leaders that God was specifically calling us to the mission field in Europe. From 1993 until 2016, God led us to serve as youth, discipleship, and missions pastors in three amazing
churches in the US. From 2017-2020, while learning language and culture, we worked on staff at the International Church of Barcelona, serving in almost every area of the church including preaching and executive functions. We've been blessed to pour our lives into hundreds of young people, couples, and families. We've watched God do what many considered impossible and we know that the most amazing stories are yet to be written as we now venture towards planting a new international church in Malaga, Spain. Malaga is a city of over 650,000 people. It is a fast-growing, international hot spot in Europe. Located in the southern region of Andalusia, this city is know for its rich foods, deep traditions, and complex history. From 2016 until today, Malaga ranks third behind Madrid and Barcelona, as a top destination for international business in Spain. The people of Malaga have a great love for life and family. Sadly, they have a long history filled with heart ache and loss. The spiritual awakening of the reformation that touched much of Europe in the 1500s has not yet found its way there. People are looking for hope. In this highly secularized city, many have never heard of the loving Savior and even more have never witnessed a vibrant, Spirit-filled church. We know that a life-giving, community of faith that chooses to authentically and compassionately love those around them, will be an undeniable light in the darkness and a beacon of hope for the hopeless. It's our joy to lead a team of incredible missionaries and local leaders to plant a new international church in this city that reaches Spaniards, expats, and foreigners. Our primary goal is to establish this church in the heart of Malaga. Our mission is to impact every person in every part of this city and the surrounding areas of over 1 million people with the love of Christ. We want to be a church that values Christ-cenetered, relationally connected, and outward focused living. We desire to multiply by creating new campuses and planting new churches that will shine brightly for Jesus, bringing hope and life to people of all ages. We know that God is touching lives here and He has asked us to go, reflect His love, and point people to Jesus Christ. Of course, we cannot do this alone. We have an amazing group of partnering churches and individual supporters that stand with us by praying, giving, and even coming alongside of us locally.
