Want to help at Sarja? Here’s what you need to know! 🌱
Life at the sanctuary is rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Our land is uneven and rocky, the animals’ routines can change, and we need people who are happy to get their hands dirty, even when it’s cold or raining! 🌧️
Training new volunteers takes time : sometimes up to 6 weeks if you come once a week. That’s why we’re looking for people who can commit for at least 6 months of the year. We want the time and energy we invest in training you to make a real difference for the animals.
But if that doesn’t fit your situation, that’s absolutely fine! There are so many other ways you can help Sarja :

Got DIY skills? Tiling, building, plumbing, electrical work… or simply a strong pair of arms?
We have several projects throughout the year and often need advice, expertise and helping hands. We’ll post what we need and when, and if you’re available, you can sign up!

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on events and special days : Christmas markets, animal food collections at Tiendanimal, open days, Taste of Cómpeta and more! There are lots of opportunities to help out without committing to regular sanctuary shifts.
