**Pecas 💜**

**¡Ven, disfruta y colabora!** 💜🐾
Porque juntos podemos cambiar vidas.

**Fleckles💜**

She is another one of the lucky ones who will soon be travelling to the United States in search of her forever family. 🇺🇸🐾

Flekles is **loving, calm, affectionate and fearless**. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, absolutely loves people… and children too! 🥰

She also walks beautifully on a leash. We simply cannot understand how such a wonderful girl has spent so many years waiting for her chance. 💔

But her story is about to change. ✨
**This autumn, she will make the journey of her life** and, very soon, she will finally meet the forever family she deserves so much. 💜

And you can help us make dreams like hers come true. 🐶✨

📍 **This Thursday, we have an event at Tapería La Venaga.**
Thanks to initiatives like this, we can keep our project going, help more animals and make stories like Pecas’s have a happy ending.

🇪🇸🐾 ¿POR QUÉ TANTOS GALGOS Y PODENCOS ESPAÑOLES ENCUENTRAN SU FAMILIA EN ESTADOS UNIDOS? 🇺🇸💜

Y entonces descubrieron a nuestros galgos españoles y podencos.

🇪🇸🐾 WHY DO SO MANY SPANISH GALGOS AND PODENCOS FIND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE UNITED STATES? 🇺🇸💜

Sometimes you ask us why some of our dogs travel thousands of miles to find their forever family.

The answer is simple: because across the Atlantic, there are many families who know and love sighthounds.

For many years, the United States had a strong tradition of adopting retired racing Greyhounds. As the tracks gradually closed, many of those families still wanted to share their lives with a sighthound.

And then they discovered our Spanish Galgos and Podencos. 🇪🇸💜

What touches us most is that many of these families are willing to adopt dogs who have a harder time finding homes here in Spain.

💜 A senior dog.
💜 A fearful dog.
💜 A blind or deaf dog.
💜 A dog who needs time to learn to trust.
💜A dog carrying the scars of a difficult life.

They aren't looking for a perfect dog.

They're looking to give a chance to a dog who needs one.

Because they understand that rescue doesn't always mean bringing home a dog who is already ready to be happy.

Sometimes, it means teaching a dog, for the very first time, what it feels like to be safe.

And when that dog finally starts sleeping peacefully, seeking out affection, and understands that they are home… 🏡💜

every bit of the journey has been worth it.

At Proyecto Berta, we will continue working to find the right family for every dog, wherever they may be.

Because some stories begin in Spain… 🇪🇸
and find their happy ending on the other side of the Atlantic. 🇺🇸💜

Descansa junto a Khaleesi, querido Hugo. 🌈💜
Siempre formarás parte de nuestra familia.

Today, we want to pay tribute to our beloved Hugo 💜. Hugo was part of the extended Proyecto Berta family for many years. This sweet old soul was truly loving toward every foster dog that arrived. He knew how to respect their pace, offer them companionship, and help them overcome their fears—something he, too, had to learn when he joined our family nearly 10 years ago. Hugo, you were a true example of nobility, patience, and love. 💜 Thank you for gifting us so many wonderful years as a family, for everything you taught us, and for every moment we shared. We are all very sad today, but we choose to remember you with a big smile, grateful for the good fortune of sharing part of our journey with you. Rest alongside Khaleesi, dear Hugo. 🌈💜 You will always be part of our family.

With our hearts in our hands... 💜

Behind our handmade crafts, there is so much more than a way to raise funds to keep our small rescue project alive. Behind every piece are people who give their time, creativity, enthusiasm, and, above all, their hearts.

Today we want to tell you about Lola. She is the heart and soul of our handmade creations. She is always coming up with new ideas, creating beautiful pieces, and giving her very best, even though she often sees her ideas copied. But that never takes away her passion for continuing to create everything with love and dedication.

Beyond making every single piece, Lola is always there whenever she's needed: at veterinary visits, during transports, on rescue trips, and in every task that helps our dogs. Having her by our side is truly a gift.

When you visit our Soho Market stall and hold one of our handmade pieces in your hands, remember that it represents so much more than a craft. It carries love, hope, compassion, and Lola's tireless dedication. It also carries the story of more than 100 dogs rescued from the hunting world, who, thanks to people like her, have been given a second chance at life.

Every piece is unique because each one holds a little piece of that story.

Thank you, Lola, for your unconditional support. Without you, all of this would be so much harder. 💜

And thank you as well to , especially Maca, for believing in us for so many years and for giving visibility to our project. Your support has been essential in helping us continue changing lives. 💜🐾

Thank you for everything, Lola. 💜

Con el corazón en las manos... 💜

Besides being absolutely beautiful, Catalina is an incredibly sweet girl who loves affection, cuddles, and spending time with people.
Everyone who meets her falls completely in love with her. 💜
We hope that very soon she will find her forever family—the one that will love her and make her happy for the rest of her life.
