The Canary Islands are our paradise, but they need our hands and our commitment! 💪✨

On September 19th, Canary Green is hosting a major day of impact and community spirit. We are gathering at the beautiful Playa de La Caleta (Adeje) to clean our coastline, protect marine ecosystems, and showcase the power of collective environmental action! 🏖️💙

This is a special event open to everyone: volunteers, families, local residents, and key partners who share our vision for a sustainable future across the Canary Islands.

💚 Small Actions. Big Impact.

A huge thank you to the amazing 20 people who joined us today for our beach cleanup at Playa Porís de Abona! 🙏💚

We collected a huge amount of rubbish — so much that the collection truck arrived while we were still cleaning, meaning we loaded everything straight in without weighing it.

We also heard from swimmers about the amount of rubbish floating in the sea. With the next high tide, much of it could end up back on the beach.

Cleanups help, but they’re not the whole solution. We all need to do more:

🌱 Use less single-use plastic
♻️ Recycle
🗑️ Use the bins
🌊 Keep rubbish away from the ocean
💚 Encourage others to do the same

Let’s look after these beautiful islands and be part of the solution, not the problem. 🌍💚

🌊 Be Part of the Solution, Not the Problem

Today we were out cleaning Playa Porís de Abona, and a huge thank you to the amazing 20 people who came along and gave their time to help. 🙏💚

We collected a LOT of rubbish. We didn’t get to weigh it this time because the collection truck arrived while we were cleaning, so we loaded everything straight into the truck.

But what really struck us today was just how dirty the beach was. We spoke to people swimming in the sea who told us there was also a huge amount of rubbish floating in the water. And that means with the next high tide, much of it will simply end up back on the beach again.

Sometimes it can feel like we’re fighting a losing battle. But that’s exactly why these cleanups are so important.

Beach cleanups are not the solution on their own. They need to be part of a much bigger change in the way we behave.

🌱 Use less single-use plastic.
♻️ Recycle whenever possible.
🗑️ Put your rubbish in the bins.
🌊 Never leave rubbish where it can reach the ocean.
💚 And encourage others to do the same.

Because what gets left on our streets, beaches and in our barrancos does eventually find its way into the sea — and it can come straight back onto our beautiful coastline.

The Canary Islands are an incredible place to live and visit. Let’s treat them that way.

This Saturday, we’re coming together to give back to our coast. We’re hosting a Beach Cleanup at Porís de Abona, and we’d love for you to join us! 💪✨

It’s not just about picking up plastic—it’s about connecting with great people, enjoying the ocean, and making a real impact together.

🍕 And the best part? We’ve got free food and drinks included for all volunteers after the cleanup! 🥳🍻

A huge thank you to the amazing Team Davía Adeje for coming down to our little beach in Callao Salvaje and helping us tidy up the gardens and clean up the area. 🙏💚

Your help is really appreciated — and, as you can see, it was very much needed!

Let’s all do our part to respect this beautiful beach area, keep it clean and tidy, and help us maintain it for everyone to enjoy — both our local community and the many visitors who come to Tenerife. 🌊☀️
