🇯🇵 WFDF is pleased to announce that the 2027 World Under-24 Ultimate Championships (WU24 2027) will be hosted in Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, from 19–26 June 2027.

Organized in close partnership with the Japan Flying Disc Association (JFDA), the championship will bring together the world’s top Under-24 Ultimate athletes for eight days of international competition.

The World Under-24 Ultimate Championships represent the premier international competition for emerging elite Ultimate players, showcasing the next generation of talent from across the global Flying Disc community.

🥏 Expand Your Disc Golf Skills with New Courses on WFDF Academy

WFDF and Pulsea Disc Golf Academy are expanding access to Disc Golf education through WFDF Academy.

As part of this collaboration, new Disc Golf-focused courses are now available for athletes, coaches, and community members interested in developing fundamental skills and techniques from some of the discipline’s most accomplished athletes.

The first courses available include:

🎯 Basics of Disc Golf Putting

🥏In 2003, a ragtag group of teenage boys found friendship, purpose, and belonging on the Amherst Hurricanes Ultimate Frisbee team. Chasing a national championship in a sport built on self-officiating, they were forced to navigate the complicated space between competition and accountability.

📹I Was a Hurricane is a coming-of-age documentary about what happens when young people are asked to decide for themselves what is right.

✨The project has been independently produced over more than two decades and brings together original footage captured during the events of 2003 with newly filmed interviews and perspectives.

This premiere is more than a screening, it is also an opportunity to become part of the film itself.

🗳️ WFDF has announced the candidates for the 2026 Athletes’ Commission Elections.

The Athletes’ Commission serves as a vital bridge between WFDF and athletes, ensuring that the voices of those on the field are heard while providing advice and feedback on issues ranging from health and safety to the evolution of Spirit of the Game.

Elections will take place during the following 2026 Championships:

🥏 WFDF-FPA World Freestyle Flying Disc Championships (July 30 – August 2)
🥏 WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships (August 15 – 22)
🥏 WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships (September 8 – 12)

Eligible voters include all accredited athletes participating in their respective World Championships.
