DEvEA's primary objective is to develop employability skills for young people through actively participating in voluntary environmental activities. DEvEA seeks innovative ways to transfer skills gained from volunteering to be formalized in employable opportunities. Partners in the project include:

Fundacja Partnerstwo dla Srodowiska
(Polish Environmental Partnership Foundation)
The mission of the PEPF is to support practical action for sustainable development through partnerships, civil society development, proposing new solutions, as well as promoting tried and tested environmental projects and initiatives. Partnership is not just the philosophy that underlies the work of the PEPF, it is also the principal approach or method for designing and delivering programmes, which include: schools for sustainable development, clean business, greenways and an environmental information centre. The PEPF nurtures and scales-up community-based initiatives and projects so that they have greater and more lasting impact by mobilising and bringing together resources, know-how, expertise and organisational capability from civil society, business and the public sector. Three principles of transparency, equity and mutual benefit guide PEPF partnership work. www.fpds.pl
Stadsdeel Amsterdam Nieuw-West
The Nieuw-West City District of Amsterdam (Stadsdeel Nieuw-West) is the local authority of the ‘Western Garden Cities’, which were built as a post war ‘New West’ expansion of the City of Amsterdam. The City District is characterised by numerous green spaces and is dominated by typical post-war middle- and low-rise buildings. The District has a growing, multicultural population. Of the 132.974 inhabitants over half of the residents are categorised as minority groups. Poverty and social exclusion are widespread within Nieuw-West. In order to combat these problems, the city-district is focussing on social inclusive development strategies on a neighboorhood scale. Economic empowerment of inhabitants is an important part of these strategies. Therefore, the City District has developed several employability programmes which enhance skills and knowledge of the communities of Nieuw-West. These programmes increase the chances of residents on jobs or participation in society in general. www.nieuwwest.amsterdam.nl
