Nabohjelpens Venner er en ideell organisasjon som jobber for økonomisk støtte til Nabohjelpen i Mogán, Gran Canaria.

Nabohjelpens fulle navn er Proyecto Vecinal de Alimentos de Mogán Nabohjelpen. Mange nordmenn har feriehus eller ferierer regelmessig på Gran Canaria. De har god kontakt med den lokale befolkningen som nå, mer enn noen gang, trenger hjelp i en tid med korona og stor arbeidsledighet. Mange ønsker derfor å bidra til Nabohjelpen på Gran Canaria i det fantastiske arbeidet som gjøres for å hjelpe de so

m trenger det mest. Nabohjelpens Venner er en organisasjon opprettet for å inspirere til donasjoner og ikke minst gjøre det enklere å gi bidrag i praksis. Innsamlede midler går uavkortet til Nabohjelpen på Gran Canaria.

Good morning to All. We don't normally do this, but feel we have to this time. One of our users, a person who has mood swings, has been bad-mouthing us to the Norwegian Community and we wish to explain the situation.
Due to his aggressive behaviour we do not allow him to enter our premises, but we bring his food and clothing and other needs out to the street for him. So he is getting help from us, he just cannot come inside to shower or wash his clothing or choose what he wants.
This has happened because of his verbally aggressive behaviour over several months now.
Sadly over the 18 years we have been helping people, this has happened a few times. We do our best not to reach a point of having to ban the person from getting help from us, but when they persist in aggression, we have to stop them from entering at least.
He does not want to understand that he himself has caused this decision.
So, if you are hearing any talk about us refusing to help a person living on the street, please be aware that we are still helping him, he just is not allowed to come inside, to prevent any violence that we as older women, do not want to have happen.
