Building a cat shelter in Javea, Spain 😺 Construyendo un refugio para gatos en Jávea, España 🐱

CATLAND JAVEA (CIF No G-42561464 and Non-Profit Charity No CV-01-059013-A) All over Spain, there are colonies of cats that are growing by the day. These cats are living in terrible conditions and rely on volunteers to feed and care for them. This is not a long-term solution, which is why we are starting

with our local community of Javea, and building Catland – a cat shelter. We have raised enough money to start the build, but we need your help to finish and open the shelter. We are working with a registered veterinarian under a full zoological license. Catland will offer shelter to a maximum of 120 cats at a time. Cats that can live as house pets, will be offered for rehoming. We will continue to work with and support the local Trap-Neuter-Return program carried out by Javea Feral Cats. Neutered cats that are suitable for a life as a pet will be taken into the shelter. We will care for them until we find them a forever home. Whilst preparing for the build of the shelter, we have formed a team of loyal and dedicated volunteers. This team has rescued, fostered, and rehomed dozens of cats into loving local homes. We also found a trusted partner in the Little Tigers Foundation in the Netherlands. With their help, we have been to find amazing Dutch homes for our cats. With the opening of the shelter, we aim to find more trusted partners abroad to help find loving homes for our cats. Last but certainly not least, education is another important goal of our organisation. We believe educating the local community about animal welfare, cat grooming and the importance of sterilisation is the key to improving the fate of many Spanish stray cats. The build of the shelter has started and we expect to welcome our first cats soon!

Association Catland is proud to announce that our very own Jávea dance studio, Footworks, is hosting this wonderful event.
We are incredibly honoured and grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiary charities. The generosity and support of Footworks and our local community will help us continue with the construction of Catland, creating a safe haven for cats in need.

Mission Accomplished: Team Catland & Gata Arrapa 🐈

A few weeks ago, a friendly male cat was found in Gata. He belonged to a colony in Jávea; however, due to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, returning him to the colony was not an option and would have placed his life at risk.
A collaboration between Gata Arrapa - Difusió Animal Gata de Gorgos Catland began. We wanted to ensure this boy was kept safe.
Pilar Arabí Gómez opened her heart and home, caring for him with kindness, dedication, and patience while a legal solution was found.
On Wednesday, Pilar and I had the privilege of placing him into his forever home. He will finally have the safety, love, and security he deserves. Within two minutes, he had completely melted his new family's hearts.
The moral of the story is simple: by working together, Gata Arrapa and Catland were able to protect him and secure the future he deserves.
While his future is now safe, the circumstances that led to his disappearance cannot be ignored. The matter has been formally documented, and Catland will be pursuing the appropriate legal channels to ensure accountability and seek justice on his behalf.

Misión Cumplida: Equipo Catland y Gata Arrapa
Hace unas semanas, un gato macho muy sociable fue encontrado en Gata. Pertenecía a una colonia de Jávea; sin embargo, debido a las circunstancias que rodearon su desaparición, devolverlo a la colonia no era una opción y habría puesto su vida en peligro.
Así comenzó una colaboración entre Gata Arrapa y Catland. Nuestro objetivo era garantizar que este pequeño estuviera a salvo.
Pilar abrió su corazón y su hogar, cuidándolo con cariño, dedicación y paciencia mientras se encontraba una solución legal.
El miércoles, Pilar y yo tuvimos el privilegio de entregarlo a su hogar definitivo. Por fin tendrá la seguridad, el amor y la protección que merece. En apenas dos minutos, ya había conquistado el corazón de su nueva familia.
La moraleja de esta historia es sencilla: trabajando juntos, Gata Arrapa y Catland lograron protegerlo y asegurarle el futuro que merece.
Aunque su futuro ya está a salvo, las circunstancias que llevaron a su desaparición no pueden quedar sin respuesta. El caso ha sido formalmente documentado y Catland emprenderá las acciones legales oportunas para exigir responsabilidades y buscar justicia en su nombre.
Un agradecimiento muy especial a Pilar por su compasión, compromiso y apoyo incondicional.❤️

Born on 24 March, these little ones are full of personality, love, and playful kitten energy.
They have already had:
• First vaccinations
• Flea and worm treatment
• Their tiny “pedicures” 😸
There are two boys and one girl available. As they are very bonded, we would ideally love for two of them to be adopted together so they can continue growing up side by side.
A home check will be carried out to ensure they find the safe, loving homes they deserve.

Meet Emi 💛
Emi is a beautiful young girl, estimated to be around two years old, who is now ready to find the loving forever home she truly deserves.
This affectionate sweetheart adores people and has the gentlest nature. From the very moment she was rescued, Emi rewarded everyone around her with the loudest, happiest purr imaginable. She absolutely loves cuddles, warm laps, and being close to her humans.
Emi’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came into rescue following a car accident which left her with a broken pelvis. Thanks to the dedicated care and recovery support from Sanju Sanctuary - kitten rescue in Javea, Emi has made a wonderful recovery and has now been given the all clear for adoption.
Now healthy, happy, and full of love, Emi is looking for a home where she can enjoy both affection and stimulation. She would thrive in a safe environment where she can relax indoors with her family while also enjoying some secure outdoor freedom.
Emi is neutered, full of personality, and ready to start her next chapter with someone special.

Emi es una preciosa gatita joven, de aproximadamente dos años, que ahora está lista para encontrar el hogar definitivo y lleno de amor que realmente merece.
Esta dulce y cariñosa pequeñina adora a las personas y tiene un carácter increíblemente tierno. Desde el mismo momento en que fue rescatada, Emi recompensó a todos a su alrededor con el ronroneo más fuerte y feliz que puedas imaginar. Le encantan los mimos, los regazos calentitos y estar cerca de sus humanos.
El camino de Emi no ha sido fácil. Llegó al rescate después de sufrir un accidente de coche que le provocó una fractura de pelvis. Gracias a los cuidados y al apoyo durante su recuperación por parte de Sanju Kitten Rescue, Emi se ha recuperado maravillosamente y ya ha recibido el alta para ser adoptada.
Ahora, sana, feliz y llena de amor, Emi busca un hogar donde pueda disfrutar tanto de cariño como de estimulación. Se adaptaría perfectamente a un entorno seguro donde pueda relajarse dentro de casa con su familia y también disfrutar de algo de libertad exterior de forma segura.
Emi está esterilizada, llena de personalidad y preparada para comenzar su nueva vida junto a alguien especial.

URGENT HELP NEEDED!
This very sociable boy was found on a building site in Gata, extremely thin. He is a registered colony cat from Jávea.
He is currently safe and recuperating in Gata, but this is only a temporary situation. We urgently need a foster home or adoptive home as he cannot be returned to the colony.
Despite everything, he is very friendly and social, and clearly wants human company and safety.
If you can offer fostering or adoption, please contact us as soon as possible. We need to secure him a safe future.

Forever home 🎉🎉

This sweet boy has been through far too much. ❤️
After ending up far away from Jávea in another town, he spent weeks surviving on the streets, trying to find his way back. He was eventually found on a building site in Gata by two kind children who contacted the Gata association for help. When he was scanned, it showed he is microchipped to Jávea.
Sadly, the area in Jávea where he came from is dangerous for him, so he cannot be returned to the streets there.
He is a super sweet, affectionate castrated male who clearly just wants kindness, food, and somewhere peaceful to rest. 🐾
Right now, he urgently needs a foster place where he can recuperate, decompress, and finally feel safe after everything he has been through. Once he is ready, we hope to find him the loving forever home he truly deserves.

Este dulce chico ha pasado por demasiado. ❤️
Después de terminar muy lejos de Jávea, en otro pueblo, pasó semanas sobreviviendo en la calle intentando encontrar el camino de regreso. Finalmente fue encontrado en una obra en Gata por dos niños que contactaron con la asociación de Gata para pedir ayuda. Cuando le pasaron el lector, vieron que tiene microchip de Jávea.
Lamentablemente, la zona de Jávea de donde venía es peligrosa para él, por lo que no puede volver a la calle allí.
Es un macho castrado súper cariñoso y dulce, que claramente solo quiere cariño, comida y un lugar tranquilo donde descansar. 🐾
Ahora mismo necesita urgentemente una casa de acogida donde pueda recuperarse, descomprimirse y sentirse por fin seguro después de todo lo que ha pasado. Cuando esté preparado, esperamos encontrarle el hogar definitivo y lleno de amor que realmente merece.
