A few weeks ago a group of Spanish youth travelled to Italy to participate in the youth exchange "YES: Youth Engagement in Sustainability" project 🌿🌀
With recycled cardboard, waste materials, creativity and a lot of teamwork, we turned what seemed like trash into something useful and beautiful. The most important part?
Everything that came out of this project didn't end up in a backpack or on a dresser, but will be donated to the schools in our territory, to become a tool for awareness in the classrooms, to tell the kids what can be done with what they already have, to show that sustainability is not an abstract concept but something that can be touched, built, and given away.
Five countries, one lab, and a message that now travels with each of us home. 🎨♻️
YES was born to respond to a challenge shared by many European communities: the need to educate young people on sustainability and promote more responsible lifestyles. Through informal education and intercultural collaboration, the project creates spaces for active learning in which young people develop concrete and replicable tools in their communities.
