Esta es la historia de cualquiera de nosotros: de un amigo, de una novia, de una madre, de un hermano… Incluso podría ser tu propia historia. La de alguien que un día cualquiera y cuando menos lo imagina, una palabra,
“cáncer”, le cambia la vida. Esta es la historia de muchas de las personas que tienes a tu alrededor, de los que han superado la enfermedad, de los que la viven con una sonrisa y a otros que, aunque ya no estén con nosotros, han experimentado la enfermedad sin miedo. Elizabeth Wiese, cofundadora de AMMO by Mig Jiménez junto a Mig Jiménez y Carlos Cuesta, una de las empresas más experimentadas en el mundo del modelismo estático, nos dejó́ en Diciembre del 2019, tras una larga e intensa batalla contra el cáncer. Eliza vivió su enfermedad siempre con una sonrisa, su espíritu de lucha y su capacidad de sacar algo positivo de cualquier circunstancia. Le motivaban a emprender cada día y vivir con intensidad y voluntad. Su amor y dedicación al trabajo en AMMO era total, su carácter explosivo, su amor por el detalle, su exigencia por el trabajo bien hecho, su espíritu siempre positivo, sus grandes valores y la infinita gratitud que siempre tenía por todo lo que le daba la vida, aunque fuese poco, prevalecían siempre por encima de cualquier circunstancia. Nos enseñó mucho en muy poco tiempo a pesar de su juventud. La vida puede pasar rápido, pero lo que trasciende es aquello que dejamos a los demás. AMMO For Life nació de su sueño personal, de la intención de ayudar a otras personas y brindar con la mayor humildad, una mano amiga. Elizabeth Wiese contaba con la gran virtud de llegar al corazón de todos. Así́ comenzó́ su proyecto solidario, pensado y llevado a cabo con generosidad para devolver a la gente más necesitada parte de lo que la vida le había dado. En 2016, tras el anuncio público de Elizabeth Wiese y Mig Jiménez, donde dieron la triste noticia de su diagnóstico de cáncer cerebral, AMMO by Mig Jiménez creo una campaña: AMMO for Life. Esta se creó́ con un acuerdo de colaboración con la Fundación MD Anderson Cáncer Center Madrid, una institución de gran prestigio internacional y pioneros en la investigación contra el cáncer. Después de ese primer paso hemos continuado realizando acciones con fines de mantener su legado y el espiritud solidario creado en la empresa. AMMO by Mig Jiménez, en honor a Elizabeth Wiese, ha creado la Fundación AMMO for Life. Desde donde estaremos ayudando en la formación, apoyo asistencial y ayuda al desarrollo personal y profesional de personas que luchen contra el cáncer u otras enfermedades graves que les condicionen una situación vulnerable y siempre a través del modelismo como una forma de unión entre nuestra pasión y las personas necesitadas. Constituirá́ un programa de carácter benéfico asistencial y sin fines lucrativos. Apoyaremos a la promoción y colaboración en acciones de solidaridad, de cooperación al desarrollo, de bienestar social en general y de servicios asistenciales y sociales, con especial atención a colectivos y a personas en situación de vulnerabilidad, exclusión social, pobreza, desigualdad, minusvalías físicas y/o psíquica. Ya sea en cualquier etapa de su vida, durante la infancia, juventud, mediana o tercera edad. Queremos llevarlo a cabo mediante el desarrollo de actividades interactivas de modelismo, ayudas y donaciones, apoyo en la formación, talleres, concursos, eventos, exposiciones y coloquios, desde donde podamos brindar nuestras experiencias y conocimientos, convirtiendo el hobby en motivación para todos. Queremos convertirnos en un trampolín para que aquellas personas de nuestra comunidad de modelistas que deseen colaborar, puedan hacerlo. Estaremos todos aportando nuestros pequeños granos de arena para la construcción de un sueño solidario, manteniendo con vida el legado de Elizabeth Wiese en AMMO.

AMMO For Life 💫 HISTORY🦋
This is the story of someone loved by each of us: a friend, a girlfriend, a mother, a brother ... It could even be your own story. That of someone who on an otherwise uneventful day and when least expected, one word changes their paradigm, the word is "cancer". This is the story of many of the people around you including those who have overcome the disease, and those who currently live with it and endure with a smile. Then there are others who, although they are no longer with us, have experienced the disease and fought it without fear. This is not a sad story; it is an inspirational truth about the human spirit and one person’s ability to transform sorrow into promise and hope. Elizabeth Wiese, co-founder of AMMO by Mig Jiménez left us in December of 2019 after a long and intense battle against cancer. Elizabeth’s joy always shined through her illness with a smile, her fighting spirit, and her ability to glean the positive out of any circumstance. She motivated those around her to undertake each day with purpose and act with goodwill. Her love and dedication to AMMO was total, her explosive character inspired us all. Her appreciation for detail made every project a success, her demand for a job well done is the foundation of AMMO’s industry leading quality. Elizabeth inspired others to a higher standard, strong values, and to have sincere gratitude for each experience. Although her time was short, her wisdom inspired a world filled with friends to overcome and persevere. Eli has taught us that life can pass quickly, but what transcends the physical is the wisdom and inspiration we share with others. AMMO For Life was born from Elizabeth’s personal desire to give, from her intention to help other people and do so with the humility and a sincere helping hand. Elizabeth Wiese had the unique virtue of reaching the hearts of everyone she met. Thus began her solidarity project, conceived of and carried out with generosity and the purpose of helping those less fortunate and most vulnerable. After Elizabeth Wiese and Mig Jiménez publicly announced the unexpected news of their diagnosis of brain cancer, AMMO by Mig Jiménez created the charitable campaign: AMMO for Life at Elizabeth’s request. This project was created in collaboration with the MD Anderson Cancer Center Madrid Foundation, an institution of great international prestige staffed with pioneers in the field of cancer research. Inspired by the modelling communities’ successful contributions, we have continued to carry out such actions in order to maintain and further the AMMO for Life legacy of charitable action and the spirit of solidarity Eli created within the modelling community even in her absence. AMMO by Mig Jiménez, in honour of Elizabeth Wiese, will continue the work of the AMMO for Life Foundation. From where we will assist in funding the training, care, support for the personal and professional development of people who fight against cancer or other serious diseases. Together we will reach out to those in vulnerable situations through modelling as a way of uniting our passion for the hobby and modellers desire to contribute in a meaningful way. The foundation will constitute as a non-profit charitable assistance program. We will continue to support solidarity and promote collaborative actions of assistance and social services, with a focus on groups and people in situations of vulnerability, social exclusion, poverty, inequality, as well as physical and developmental disabilities regardless of age. This mission will be carried out through the development of interactive modelling activities, grants and donations, training support, workshops, contests, events, exhibitions, and colloquia from where we can provide our experiences and knowledge, turning the hobby into motivation for everyone. We aspire to become a springboard for those people in our community of modelers who wish to collaborate and contribute. Together our individual actions as members of the modelling community will build the dream of solidarity and charitable actions with purpose, keeping Elizabeth Wiese's legacy alive around the world and here at AMMO.
