🌿 ¡Presentamos la Asociación de Vecinos Camino Lo Chicharra y Caminos Adyacentes de Catral!
Somos vecinos de toda la vida, familias agricultoras y nuevos residentes que hemos decidido organizarnos para cuidar juntos este rincón único de la huerta alicantina: la zona de Santa Águeda, desde la ermita hasta el Aula de la Naturaleza del Hondo.
🏡 ¿Quiénes somos?
Una comunidad diversa —gente de aquí de siempre, europeos que han hecho de esta huerta su hogar, y agricultores y ganaderos— que comparte un mismo objetivo: vivir bien y defender nuestro territorio.
💪 ¿Para qué estamos aquí?
→ Defender los intereses de todos los vecinos del área.
→ Apoyar a las explotaciones agrícolas y ganaderas.
→ Ser nuestra voz ante el Ayuntamiento de Catral.
→ Representarnos ante la Comunidad de Regantes y el Sindicato de Riegos.
📍 Nuestro territorio: unas 174.000 ha que van desde la Ermita de Santa Águeda hasta el Hondo, bordeando la Acequia Mayor de Callosa y la Azarbe de la Partición. Un paisaje que vale la pena proteger.
✨ Aquí la huerta de siempre y la Europa de hoy conviven en armonía. Juntos somos más fuertes.

🌿 Introducing the Neighbours Association of Camino Lo Chicharra and Adjacent Tracks, Catral!
We are long-time locals, farming families and European residents who have chosen to come together to look after this unique corner of the Alicante huerta: the Santa Águeda area, stretching from the chapel all the way to the El Hondo Nature Centre.
🏡 Who are we?
A diverse community — people whose roots run deep here, Europeans who have made this landscape their home, and farmers and livestock keepers — all sharing one goal: to live well and protect our territory.
💪 What do we stand for?
→ Defending the rights and interests of every resident in the area
→ Supporting local agricultural and livestock businesses
→ Being our community's voice at Catral Town Hall
→ Representing our members before the Irrigation Community and Water Syndicate
📍 Our territory: around 174,000 ha running from the Santa Águeda Chapel to El Hondo, bordered by the Acequia Mayor de Callosa and the Azarbe de la Partición. A landscape worth protecting.
