Every statistic has a face. Every policy can change a life.

Behind alcohol-related harm are families, children, friendships and communities. For eight years, the WHO‘s SAFER initiative has shown that practical, evidence-based measures can prevent suffering before it happens.

Healthier communities don‘t happen by chance. They happen when prevention becomes a priority.

Do you think enough is being done to protect families and communities from alcohol-related harm? We‘d love to hear your thoughts.

What if one conversation could save someone‘s life?

Overdose doesn‘t only happen because a substance is present.
It also happens when people are too afraid to ask for help.
When stigma replaces support.
When myths replace evidence.
When compassion arrives too late.

Every life lost reminds us that prevention starts long before an emergency.
It starts with information.
With empathy.
With communities that choose people over prejudice.

Because no family should lose someone simply because support wasn‘t there when it mattered most.

❤️ Read the article and discover how compassion, evidence and human rights can help prevent overdose.

You may know their situation.
You do not know their whole story.
Job loss. Financial hardship. Illness. Family instability. Social exclusion.

Any of these can happen to almost anyone. Yet the language we use can turn a difficult chapter into a permanent judgement.

Empathy begins when we stop asking, “What is wrong with this person?” and start asking, “What may have happened to them—and what support could help?”

Positive, inclusive communication is not about hiding difficult realities. It is about recognising them without humiliating, blaming or reducing people to their circumstances.

Choose words that leave room for recovery, opportunity and hope.

📘 Download The Power of Words—now available free in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese—and discover how small changes in language can make a real difference for people facing social, economic, employment or health-related challenges.

Over 305 million people across the globe rely on humanitarian aid just to survive (OCHA, 2025). Yet, the brave individuals delivering this life-saving care are facing unprecedented risks.

Would you risk your life to save someone you‘ve never met?
Every day, thousands of humanitarian workers answer yes.

They bring food where there is hunger.
Care where there is suffering.
Hope where conflict has taken almost everything.

Yet too many are threatened, attacked or killed simply for helping others.

On World Humanitarian Day, let‘s remember that protecting humanitarian workers isn‘t only their fight—it‘s everyone‘s responsibility.

What kind of world are we leaving to our children — and how much are we letting them shape it?

Young people don’t just inherit the future. They are already changing the present.

This , let’s listen to their ideas, take their concerns seriously and give them real opportunities to participate in the decisions that affect their lives.

Because supporting young people today means building stronger, fairer and more caring communities tomorrow. 💙

Thousands of people. Hundreds of artists. One unforgettable summer.

Festivals are about music, freedom, friendship and creating memories that last far longer than a weekend.

Whatever your plans, make one promise to yourself and your friends: everyone gets home safely.
✔ Stay hydrated.
✔ Eat something during the day.
✔ Take breaks from the heat and the crowds.
✔ Never leave anyone behind.
✔ If someone feels unwell, ask festival staff or medical teams for help immediately.

Looking after each other doesn‘t make the experience less exciting.
It makes sure there will be another festival together next year.

Good vibes aren‘t just about the music—they‘re about the people who make everyone feel safe.

💬 Share one tip that every first-time festivalgoer should know.
