Every child deserves a father who is given the chance to rebuild his life.

Behind every father living with drug dependence is a person with hopes, fears, regrets and the desire to be present for the people they love.

Inspired by the Council of Europe Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe report Fathers, developed by Corina Giacomello, this article reminds us that recovery doesn't happen in isolation. It grows when families receive support, when communities replace judgement with understanding, and when society believes that change is possible.

Supporting fathers doesn't only transform one life. It can transform an entire family.
No one should be defined forever by their most difficult chapter.

Changing the narrative on su***de begins with ordinary conversations, everyday kindness and communities where no one feels invisible.
