📚 "Crónicas del Internao": la memoria de toda una generación llega al Teatro Saavedra
Hace 50 años, la creación del internado y del Instituto de Bachillerato Mixto de Cantoria convirtió al municipio en punto de encuentro para jóvenes llegados desde distintos rincones de Almería y Murcia para cursar el recién implantado Bachillerato Unificado Polivalente (BUP).
Aquellos adolescentes que compartieron aulas, estudios, amistades y experiencias en lo que todos recuerdan cariñosamente como el "Internao" son hoy hombres y mujeres que han querido dejar por escrito una parte de aquella historia común.
El próximo sábado, 20 de junio, a las 12:00 horas, el Teatro Saavedra acogerá la presentación del libro "Crónicas del Internao", una obra que recoge recuerdos, anécdotas y vivencias de quienes formaron parte de una etapa que marcó a toda una generación y que ocupa un lugar especial en la memoria de Cantoria.
Será una oportunidad para reencontrarse con los protagonistas de aquellos años, recordar experiencias compartidas y descubrir cómo un pequeño municipio se convirtió en referente educativo para cientos de jóvenes de la comarca y provincias vecinas.

📚 "Crónicas del Internao": the memories of a generation come to the Saavedra Theatre
Fifty years ago, the creation of the boarding school and the Mixed Secondary School of Cantoria transformed the municipality into a meeting point for young people from across Almería and Murcia who came to study the newly established Unified Secondary Education programme (BUP).
Those teenagers who shared classrooms, studies, friendships and experiences in what they still affectionately remember as the "Internao" are now adults who have chosen to preserve part of that shared history in writing.
Next Saturday, 20 June, at 12:00 noon, the Saavedra Theatre will host the presentation of the book "Crónicas del Internao", a work that brings together memories, anecdotes and personal stories from those who lived through a period that shaped an entire generation and remains an important chapter in Cantoria's history.
It will be an opportunity to reconnect with the people who experienced those years, revisit shared memories and discover how a small town became an educational reference point for hundreds of young students from the surrounding region and neighbouring provinces.
