What a day at Taste of Cómpeta! 🥘☀️🐾

We had such a lovely time meeting so many of you and enjoying some amazing food. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, came to say hello, supported us and helped make the day so special! 

It was also the perfect occasion to officially launch our PS5 RAFFLE! 

The PS5 was generously donated by Vito from Málaga (thank you!!), and all the money raised will go towards upgrading our new volunteer area.

Our volunteers are an essential part of Sarja, and creating a comfortable space where they can live, rest and hopefully stay with us long-term is a big step towards helping the sanctuary grow.

Win a PS5 while helping the animals ! 🎮❤️

We’re launching our raffle on 26th September at Sabor a Cómpeta.

2 Tickets for just €5 ! Get yours on Saturday, Sept. 26th at our stall for Taste of Competa. And later at Fruteria Marisol or via our Instagram or Facebook.

Every ticket helps us to continue providing food and veterinary care for the animals. We want to give big thanks, Muchas gracias Vito for giving us the opportunity tu run this raffle by giving us this brand new PS5 ❤️

The raffle will run until 20th December when we’ll draw the lucky winner, just in time for Christmas!

Blanca got herself some new shoes 🐔👟

She’s currently being treated for a plantar wart, so keeping her foot clean and protected is an important part of her care.

Our little routine:
Soak in warm water + Epsom salts
Dry VERY well
Apply her topical treatment
Bandage securely to protect the foot

Change every 2 days to keep clean and neat !

And voilà: the famous 4x4 chicken shoes. Ready for all terrains. 😂

This is Blanca’s treatment plan. If you notice a foot lesion on your hen, always check with a vet for the right diagnosis and treatment.

We had the most beautiful evening with our amazing team of local volunteers! 🧡🌿

After a whole year of showing up week after week to help us care for the animals and keep Sarja going, it was time to celebrate the wonderful people who make this place what it is.

We shared a vegan BBQ, tapas, way too many delicious desserts, great conversations, lots of laughs… and even a little singing 🎶🥰

We went to bed with full bellies, full hearts, and so much gratitude for this beautiful community we’re building together.

A new season is beginning at Sarja, and we can’t wait to see what it brings. ✨

To every one of our volunteers: THANK YOU for your time, your energy, your love, and everything you bring to the sanctuary. 💚
