‼️ MOBILITY SCOOTER CLAMPDOWN❓️
We've heard it all before... but here we go again 🙄

After a meeting between the authorities and mobility scooter rental companies it has been announced that the police will be carrying out spot checks on the use of this type of vehicle to cut down on misuse.
Currently people must be over 65 years old (previously 55) or have proof of disability to rent a mobility scooter.
They should be driven no faster than walking speed. They have emphasised that they will be checking drivers for drink and drugs... Drink drive limits for these vehicles are exactly the same as if you are driving a car!
Fines will be up to 1000€ for non compliance with the laws.

Will we see this make any difference this time❓️
And what are your thoughts on using them... 🤔
