On Europe Day, we celebrate the values that function as the heart of the European Union: peace, human rights, solidarity, and respect for international law. Values that, right now, feel more fragile than we’d like in a world that feels uncertain.
For many of us, Europe has always meant something very tangible: unity, safety, and the feeling that across borders, we can still count on each other when it matters.
Today serves a reminder to pause and think about what Europe is to us, and just as importantly, what we want it to become.
