To celebrate the last night of Festes de Gràcia AND help out our friends at BichosRaros.org, we’re hosting a wild night of music, dancing and fundraising at BALDONA! 🎶

Atari Stacey + Tintin Quarantino will be taking over the decks, providing a suitably wild soundtrack while we collect as much as we can for the animals at Bichos Raros. Come have a drink, have a dance, hang out and make the most of the last night of Gràcia!

BichosRaros.org is a small shelter near Madrid caring for animals with disabilities, chronic illness and special needs, including senior animals. It’s run by a small group of volunteers, and everything they do depends on donations.

They had to evacuate during the wildfires, which hit them hard both financially and emotionally. They’re back home now, but still dealing with the aftermath.

You can come along and drop off donations directly, and we’ll make sure they get to the shelter.

Right now they need:

🐾 Royal Canin dry dog food 🐾 Baby wipes 🐾 Puppy pads 🐾 Soap sponges

You can also leave a cash donation, or, if you can’t make it, send a Bizum directly to Bichos Raros: 649 56 41 67.

‼️We’ll be putting on another event in a couple of weeks time, featuring a vintage clothing sale, so bring along any clothes you’d like to donate for that too.‼️

This is also a great chance to find out more about the Paw Portal and get involved with volunteering or contribute to our next event. Come and say hi, or send us a message if you can’t make it.

One last thing: there will be a correfoc throughout the streets as part of the festes closing night, so please leave your furry friends at home this time! 🚫🐶

Remember little P**a from last week? She and her sister Avellana are still looking for adoption.

They were accidentally run over by a grass cutter, P**a lost part of her ear and little Avellana will probably loose an eye 💔

Still they are so loving and cuddly, and dreaming of a family of their own 🙏🏽

Preferably they should go together, but separate adoptions could be considered as long as they find a loving home ❤️❤️❤️

🤎🐶 Moka 🐶🤎

This little brown-eyed girl has been waiting for someone to choose her for months now…

Then, just as we thought Moka’s luck might be about to change, she needed surgery to remove several mammary tumours. We’d hoped that recovering from such a big operation would mean some time in the comfort of a foster home.

Sadly, that never happened. Once she was well enough, Moka returned to GAB - Grupo Ayuda Bodegueros, where she’s been waiting patiently ever since. 🥹

Moka has made a brilliant recovery from her operation, and with it behind her, she’s feeling herself again, and is more than ready to find her forever family. 🏡❤️‍🩹

Moka is around 3½ years old and weighs about 10 kg. She can be a little shy when you first meet her, but it’s worth taking the time to get to know her, as once she trusts you, she’s wonderfully affectionate and loves nothing more than to be fussed over!

She lives happily alongside several other dogs at the residence, but cats aren’t really her thing, so we’re hoping to find her a cat-free home. 🚫🐱

Moka also has leishmania at very low, well-managed levels, which doesn’t stop her enjoying life one bit.

It’s easy to look at Moka and see just another rescue dog waiting for a home, but we hope someone sees her soon and says, “she’s the one”. 🐶❤️✨

Behind that shyness is a little dog who’s already been through more than she should have, and who’s still waiting for the happy ending she deserves. 🤎🍫☕️💝

🐾💕 Bruno & Juanito 💕🐾

Two hearts that beat as one 🥲

Some friendships are simply too special to break apart. Bruno and Juanito have spent years side by side. When their elderly owner could no longer care for them, they arrived safely at GAB - Grupo Ayuda Bodegueros from Seville, and now they’re looking for a new beginning together.

We know that finding a home for two dogs is never easy, but if there is ever a pair worth making room for, it’s these two.

The team at GAB - Grupo Ayuda Bodegueros says they’re practically joined at the hip. Bruno is the quieter of the two and is always checking that Juanito is close by. Juanito is a little more confident, happy to say hello and help his best friend feel brave. 🥹🥹🥹

When they first arrived, they were understandably worried by all the changes. Little by little they’ve relaxed, and everyone who meets them says the same thing: they’re gentle, affectionate little dogs who are simply happiest together. 🐾💕🐾

Bruno is 4 years old and Juanito is 6 years old and
both are up to date with their veterinary care. ✅

We would love to see them start this next chapter as they have lived every chapter before it: side by side. If you have room in your home for two loyal little companions instead of one, Bruno and Juanito would love to meet you.
