✨️Continuem avançant en la transformació digital de la salut a Catalunya

Després d’engegar la cocreació amb un grup de treball de 27 professionals de l’àmbit de la salut i social d’arreu del territori, hem fet un pas imprescindible: contrastar aquest treball amb qui viu el sistema en primera persona. A través de dues sessions participatives amb persones ateses i cuidadores —una en entorn rural, a Sort, i una altra en entorn urbà, a Barcelona—, hem pogut testejar allò que hem construït amb el grup de treball i assegurar que incorpora, de manera real, una mirada centrada en la persona.

Hem escoltat experiències, necessitats i expectatives de futur, posant especial atenció a com la tecnologia pot contribuir a una atenció més accessible, humana i segura. Els aprenentatges més rellevants apunten a una tecnologia que combini eficiència i humanitat: capaç d’automatitzar, però sempre amb validació humana, tenint en compte les preferències i mantenint el contacte i l’acompanyament les persones. Alhora, cal garantir transparència i control en l’ús de dades, i usar la tecnologia per tal d’oferir informació accessible, personalitzada i contextualitzada.

Proper pas: escalar el treball amb 45 professionals per continuar refinant i concretant els components clau dels sistemes d’informació en salut del futur.

As we look back on 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude 💛
This year was about coming together — listening, co-creating, questioning, and imagining new ways of caring, living, ageing, and dying.

With communities, professionals, institutions, artists, patients, caregivers, and partners, we opened conversations, built spaces for reflection, and took meaningful steps toward more compassionate and people-centered futures. None of this would have been possible without the trust, energy, and commitment of everyone who walked this path with us.

Here’s a glimpse of a year shaped by collaboration, courage, and care. Thank you for being part of the journey ✨

Seguim compartint alguns dels continguts clau del llibre blanc de l’Estratègia de Salut Digital de Catalunya.

Després d’explorar conjuntament la visió col·lectiva d’un futur model d’atenció més integrat, longitudinal i centrat en la persona, avui us compartim els 10 principis per als sistemes d’informació de salut de Catalunya: un marc compartit que orienta el desenvolupament dels nostres SSII per fer possible aquest nou model d’atenció. 🫴🏻

Aquests principis han estat cocreats amb actors de tot el sistema i de tot el territori, incorporant les necessitats i matisos dels diferents contextos i realitats assistencials. Integren la mirada de persones ateses i cuidadores, professionals de l’entorn sanitari i social, gestors, i experts del sistema en innovació, estratègia i tecnologia.

🌿 Breaking Taboos, Nurturing Care 🌿

Over the years, exploring Care has led us to uncover many taboos—around death, mental health, sexuality, ageing, and caregiving.

We’ve come to believe that addressing taboos is itself an act of Care: done sensitively, it deepens human connection and empowers people, teams, and systems to deliver truly compassionate care. 💛

✨ Care Dialogues at is a new exploratory space for such topics, combining artistic collaboration, research, and hands-on experimentation to spark societal debate around Care.

We’re starting this November at the Compassion Revolution Conference in Adelaide with our first workshop:
💬 “Can we talk about that?”

And we’re launching whatistaboo.care — a global platform to share stories and ideas about care taboos worldwide. 🌍

🎉 We’re nearing an exciting milestone in our collective journey!

Over the past year, we’ve partnered with the Department of Digital Strategy at CatSalut to rethink how our healthcare information systems can better reflect the kind of care we want: person-centred, integrated, and longitudinal.

To shape this vision, we engaged in a mass participatory process involving more than 3.400 people across Catalunya—patients, caregivers, health and social care professionals, and strategic decision-makers. Through in-person sessions in both urban and rural areas that involved 265 people and a complementary online engagement that involved over 3.200 health care professionals, we explored the strengths and gaps of the current care system and co-defined a set of guiding principles that serve as a shared foundation for building a future-ready healthcare information system that truly supports the envisioned care model.

Last week, we closed the loop and reunited with some of the participants to share back the outcomes, celebrate the collective effort, and reflect on what’s next.

Durant els darrers sis mesos, hem estat treballant amb el Departament d’Estratègia Digital de CatSalut per repensar el futur sistema d’informació de salut i atenció social a Catalunya. A través d’un procés participatiu a gran escala, hem involucrat més de 250 participants, incloent pacients, cuidadors, professionals d’atenció directa i líders del sistema, per identificar necessitats i oportunitats clau. Ara, en la segona fase, estem co-creant els principis de disseny que permetran un sistema d’atenció centrat en la persona, integrat i longitudinal. Orgullosos de col·laborar amb CatSalut i altres actors clau en aquesta transformació. Aviat compartirem més novetats!

For the past six months, we’ve been working with CatSalut’s Department of Digital Strategy to reimagine the future of Catalunya’s health and social care information system. Through a large-scale participatory process, we engaged with over 250 participants, including patients, caregivers, frontline professionals, and system leaders to identify key needs and opportunities. Care Centred Design Practice comes to Singapore! 🌏
🌟 Last November we led a 5-day masterclass at LaSalle I UAS, Design for Social Futures Program on the Care Centred Design Practice we´ve been developing to tackle complex social challenges.
In just a week, 50+ first and second year students from diverse backgrounds and cultures formed teams to unpack key issues of Caregiving - taboos, self-care, young caregivers and more - and explore caring design solutions. 👏 Congratulations students at I UAS!
