The Degrowth Media Circle: bringing degrowth to your social media feed since 2026 🔗

Our gathering last week brought together communicators across national contexts and media spaces to confront two burning questions: how do we challenge far-right and capitalist narratives online ? what is the role of communication in the revolution?

Our answer: a strong committed network of anticapitalist and antifascist communicators to build collective capacity and take back control over the narrative.

During our time at we reflected on communication techniques & strategic messaging, and collaborated to produce critical political content, bringing the message directly to you 🫵

Want to help spread anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist messaging in increasingly hostile media spaces? Keep an eye out for our Degrowth Media Circle content, coming soon 👀

“Solidarity is not charity. It is shared political work.”

Listen to the las episode 🎧 Ecofeminism and the fight for justice (link in bio)

In this final episode of Voices Across Waters, Roula speaks with Shereen Talaat. Rooted in the experiences of the SWANA region, Shereen unpacks ecofeminism as a struggle over power: who controls resources, who bears the cost, and whose lives are valued.

This conversation is a call to move beyond symbolic solidarity and into material action through accountability, shared struggle, and collective power.

It is also a reminder that narratives shape reality, and that reclaiming our stories is part of building alternatives. And through it all, one thing remains essential: hope, not as optimism, but as responsibility.

“Building relationships across borders is already an act of resistance.”

Listen to the episode 🎧 The Power of Transnational Solidarity (link in bio)

In this episode of Voices Across Waters, Lena interviews Roula about growing into feminism intuitively and understanding ecofeminism through lived realities of militarization, migration, and community memory.

From ancestral memory to transnational solidarity, this conversation reminds us that shifting narratives requires trust, vulnerability, and deep listening. In a world shaped by imperialism and capitalism, building relationships becomes an act of resistance, an act of hope.

In February, the Labour Movement Action Circle finally came together for a powerful few days of discussion, learning, and collective imagination around labour, economic sovereignty, and worker-led transformation at the in-person gathering.

Once again, we were hosted by the incredible 💚

From unpacking transnational labour and state policies, to exploring strategies for democratic economic sovereignty and degrowth, the gathering created space for deep reflection and exchange. Across workshops, presentations, and collective discussions, participants shared experiences from their different contexts and built connections grounded in solidarity.

We moved from big-picture questions—what does transnationally organised labour bring to struggles for economic sovereignty & degrowth? —to concrete strategy, identifying opportunities for a shared platform on transnational labour movement.

Among all the collective discussions, we went to Girona for a labour history tour by , we shared meals, walks around La Bruguera and a beautiful concert by 🎶 Reminding us that building movements is also about care, culture, and community.

We left with new ideas, stronger connections, and a renewed commitment to advancing labour struggles across borders.

More to come soon ✊

“It’s so much easier to care when you feel cared for”

Listen to the episode 🎧Women are going to save the world, right mom? (link in bio)

In this episode, Lena reflects on ecofeminism as both a lens and a lived practice one that connects patriarchy, capitalism, knowledge, and care. Together, the conversation explores autonomous women’s spaces, unpaid care labor, trust-building, and the radical power of storytelling. They reflect on the Mediterranean as both bridge and border: a sea of olive trees and tourism, but also of migration, climate crisis, and political fracture.
