Catalunyaar is a Barcelona-based invitation to you to build an open bridge between the people of Ind

Catalunyaar is a Barcelona-based invitation to build an open bridge between the people of India and Catalunya in the first instance, with the intention to extend the bridge to Spain over time. It is the brainchild of a few, informal enthusiasts who straddle both communities. They invite you to join them, take part, contribute and offer your own unique ways to build the bridge, which includes:

Building open relationships between our communities
* Familiarising people, and heightening their awareness about each other's cultures, commonalties and contemporary trends
* Sharing stories of experiences in travelling or crossing the divide between Catalunya and India
* Providing sub-Continental visitors to Barcelona with information on your events, activities and attractions that may not be readily available in the mainstream media; and visa versa for Catalan visitors to the sub-Continent.
* Generating a communication platform for all of the above

The Generalitat de Catalunya will hire more staff to help migrants find legal jobs and guide them into the job market.
La Generalitat de Catalunya contractarà més personal per ajudar els migrants a trobar feina legal.

The Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya will support around 150,000 people with training and job opportunities.
El Servei d'Ocupació de Catalunya donarà suport a unes 150.000 persones amb formació i oportunitats laborals.

Stronger checks will also reduce illegal work and ensure fair salaries.
També es reforçaran els controls per reduir el treball irregular i garantir salaris justos.
