Wall texts in public spaces do more than convey meaning: they frame our perceptions, improve accessibility and enhance the user experience.

Through a combination of pair work, group discussion and critical analysis, Mary Ellen Kerans will help participants decode why some translations fall short, spell out how and when to fix them, and signpost the way to better client education.

By honing our ability to identify and solve language-related problems, this online workshop will be of benefit to anyone who edits and translates.

An author’s voice should resonate in any type of text, including scientific papers. As a researcher, do you know how to make your voice heard?

If you struggle with clear and effective writing or help those who do, join Kate Mc Intyre in exploring academic and scientific texts to learn how author voice works – and doesn’t work – in the sciences.

A writer’s style speaks volumes. Make sure you know how to voice your perspective loud and clear!
