Casa da Criatividade de Barcelos (House of Creativity) is pleased to share information regarding the training workshops taking place in October. Images related to each workshop are attached.

- "Discover Your Talent: Wooden Toys" with artisan Carlos Figueira.
The October edition of the "Discover Your Talent" program focuses on wooden toys.
Carlos Figueira is the master craftsman who will share his expertise in woodworking, exploring the magic of creating wooden toys—an art form that respects nature and stimulates the creator's creativity.
Wood is a widely used raw material for both decorative and functional items. Carlos Figueira also uses it to craft toys that delight both children and adults who enjoy playing and appreciate the art of woodworking and creation.
The sessions will take place on October 14 and 21, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, totaling six hours of training.

- "Rooster Modeling and Painting Workshop" with artisan Hélder Ferreira.
Casa da Criatividade in Barcelos will host the Rooster Modeling and Painting Workshop on October 17, 24, and 31, led by artisan Hélder Ferreira. This workshop aims to showcase the processes behind one of the region's most emblematic creations—an icon of local clay figurative art.
This workshop spans nine hours and takes place on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Casa da Criatividade.

- "Artisanal Cutlery Workshop" with Hélder Pinheiro.
Have you ever imagined designing, forging, and bringing to life a unique tool made entirely by your own hands? Now is your chance to do just that. Through the Casa da Criatividade, artisan Hélder Pinheiro will host an Artisanal Knife-Making Workshop at his studio, located at Rua de Escairo, 225, 4750-399 Carapeços. In this exclusive, hands-on one-day experience, you will follow the entire creation process:
• Blade design and cutting
• Heat treatment and grinding
• Handle fitting and final finishing
• Precision sharpening
At the end of the day, in addition to the knowledge gained, you will take home a knife crafted by your own hands.
