Why is it important to the Arterra Bizimodu community to work on bringing entrepreneurship to rural regions?
Arterra, as many other ecovillages, aspires to implement the concept of regeneration in 4 areas, including the economical one. One of the practical way of implementing it is through supporting local social enterpreneurs. It brings not only economical prosperity, but support our mission and vision in many different ways, for example by:
helping us to build relationships with our neighbours and local network
caring for the Earth through local production of organic food, which also limit the foodmiles and carbon footprint through creating a culture of sharing, collaboration and co-creation.
It also makes it possible for our members to work from home rather than going to nearby cities, which require various kinds of resources we rather invest in rural development, building sustainable and regenerative alternatives out of big cities.
