One of our newest volunteers at the refuge is Eugenie, who also happens to be a vet! 🐾❤️

It was absolutely wonderful for her to come and spend some time with us — and even fit in some much-needed nail trimming while she was here.

So little acts of kindness like this really, really do make such a huge difference. 🥰

Mia was especially grateful for her lovely pedicure… and is now showing off her pretty paws! 🐶💅❤️

Thank you so much Eugenie, we’re so lucky to have you as part of the team. 🐾

Can someone please tell us what Mark is on… because we want some! 😂

It’s not just dogs anymore… now it’s 3 little piglets too! 🫣🐷🐷🐷

Brought to him from another refuge, these three little ones are now in Mark’s care until they’ve been castrated. After that, they’ll be heading off to their forever home with someone who already has one of our rescue dogs. ❤️

Meanwhile, Winston is holding their first official house meeting to go over the rules… especially acceptable oinking times! 🐶🐽😂

Mark really doesn’t just love dogs… he has a heart big enough for them all. 🐾🐷❤️

OTTO and LUCAS the last of the litter has now been adopted!

Another litter complete and off to their forever home.

Now for the next 2 litters that arrived, let’s hope they get rehomed as quick 🙏🏼

What a journey Rex has had…

From a life of chains and neglect, to being loved, cared for, moving to England, finding his forever family, and now winning medals. 🐾❤️

Today he took first place in the Old Timers class at his village dog show, beating 11 other wonderful dogs.

So proud of our boy and how far he’s come, always a winner for us 🥇

UPDATE OWNER FOUND 💫💫

🐾 FOUND DOG ARONA AREA – PLEASE SHARE 🐾

A female dog has been found.

She is microchipped, however the contact details registered to the chip appear to be incorrect, and we have been unable to contact her owner.

She seems to be very well looked after and is now safe with us at Live Paws Shelter.

Please share this post to help reunite her with her family. If you think she may be yours or know who she belongs to, please contact us.

Some people have a special gift with animals — a quiet kindness, patience and understanding that dogs feel before any words are spoken.

Christian and Martine have been volunteering with us for some time now, and the dedication, love and compassion they show our dogs is truly incredible. ❤️

You don’t just walk them… you give them confidence.
You don’t just spend time with them… you help them heal. 🐶

Your gentle souls show these dogs that humans can be kind, that they are safe, and that they are loved. In return, they begin to trust, they learn, and slowly their true personalities start to shine through. ✨

For some of our dogs, that journey from scared and unsure to happy and confident is the very thing that helps them find their forever homes. 🏡❤️

Rescue is not just about food and shelter — it’s about people like you who give your time, your hearts and your patience.

🐾💙 MEET TIZÓN 💙🐾✨ Looking for a foster or forever home ✨

Beautiful Tizón came into our care through no fault of his own after a family break up. Sadly, he hadn’t received the care he deserved and arrived very thin and undernourished.

Despite everything, Tizón’s loving nature has never changed. He is the sweetest, gentlest boy who absolutely adores people — if he could fit in your pocket and stay with you all day, he would! 🥰

Tizón has lived in a home before, is wonderful with other dogs, and has so much love still to give. He truly deserves the comfort of a family again. 🏡💙

Due to a heart condition, we are especially hoping to find this gorgeous boy a foster home where he can enjoy love, comfort, and care. Live PAWS will cover all of Tizón’s expenses.

At his age, we don’t want him spending his days waiting in a refuge. He deserves a warm bed, gentle hands, and someone to love him as much as he will love them. 🐶💕

After a warm and very gentle welcome, little Marky is now resting at the Marks finca until he is strong enough for his operation. ❤️‍🩹

He is suffering from anaemia, and the risk is currently too high for surgery to be carried out immediately. We will do another blood analysis in 5 days to see if his condition has improved enough for the operation to go ahead 🙏🤞🤞

A huge thank you to our friend Izzy for opening her loving home to him after he was hit by a car 🥹

Thanks to all of your generous donations, the funds needed for Marky’s operation and recovery are safely in place 🙏🦿

Now we are simply waiting for the green light from the vets so he can have his operation and continue his journey toward a wonderful life with a wonderful family. ❤️

🎉🐾❤️ Happy 3rd Birthday, Toto! ❤️🐾🎉

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful boy Toto as he turns 3 years old! 🎂🥳

Not so long ago, Toto’s future looked uncertain after he was found alone on a roof terrace. But thanks to love, patience, and the care he’s received, he has transformed into the happy, affectionate dog we know and adore today. ❤️

Toto loves being around people, enjoys plenty of fuss and attention, and has discovered a favourite pastime — playing fetch! 🎾🐕 He walks beautifully on the lead and shares his kennel peacefully with other dogs, showing just what a lovely companion he is.

This handsome boy has come such a long way, and we couldn’t be prouder of him. Now there’s just one thing missing from his life — a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive and share all the love he has to give. 🏡✨

As we celebrate his special day, our biggest birthday wish is for Toto to find the family he’s been waiting for. Someone to love him, spoil him, and give him the happy ending he truly deserves. ❤️

🎂🐾 Happy 3rd Birthday, Toto! Here’s to new adventures, endless games of fetch, and hopefully a forever home very soon. ❤️✨
