Прямий ракетний удар росії по історичній пам'ятці, що входить до списку об'єктів Всесвітньої спадщини ЮНЕСКО, у столиці України Києві – Печерській лаврі XI століття – який підпалив цю святиню руйнівним полум'ям, – настільки жахливий, що словами не висловити належної люті та осуду, які відчуває Управа Світової Федерації Українських Жіночих Організацій, наше Представництво в ООН у Нью-Йорку та Женеві, а також організації мережі СФУЖО у 30 країнах світу.
Києво-Печерська лавра є святинею – місцем духовного прихистку та захисту для багатьох поколінь упродовж століть. Вона визнана у світі як один із символів міста Києва. Надходять повідомлення про постраждалих унаслідок ракетних ударів по Лаврі та прилеглих територіях. Висловлюємо найглибші співчуття беззахисним жертвам російської ненависті до України.
Дозвольте нам нагадати світові, що навмисне знищення міжнародно визнаного історичного місця вважається воєнним злочином.

WFUWO Condemns russia’s Missile Strike on the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kyiv Pechersk Lavra
Russia’s direct missile strike on the UNESCO-registered historic site in Ukraine’s capital of Kyiv – the 11th century cathedral Pevcherska Lavra – thereby igniting this sanctuary in destructive flames – is so horrific that words fail to express both the appropriate fury and condemnation felt by the leadership of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations, our UN representation in New York and Geneva, and of our members in 30 countries worldwide.
The Kyiv Pecherska Lavra is a sacred place – a place of sanctuary and refuge for centuries -and is recognized internationally as a symbol of the city of Kyiv.
Injuries from missile strikes on the Lavra and nearby locations are still being reported. Our deepest sympathies are given to this defenseless victims of Russia’s hatred of Ukraine.
Allow us to remind the world that the intentional targeting and destruction of an internationally recognized historic site is considered a war crime.
