Absolutely devastated 💔

I did a dive for ocean trash this afternoon at my beloved La Pinta beach in Costa Adeje, Tenerife and I found a juvenile Moray Eel that had become entangled in some plastic packaging and had unfortunately drowned.

As I was trying to remove the netting so it couldn't harm anything else my camera got bashed against the reef and flooded.

It's completely dead unfortunately.
No bowl of rice will fix this, the flooding was terminal.

I'll still be diving every day to remove trash from the ocean but I won't be able to film for a while as I'll need to save up for a new camera which may take some time as I don't get paid for what I do.

I'll take photos on my camera on dry land for now.

Somewhere different today...

I've come to an utterly beautiful beach called Playa Abama to see if it needed a clean as it's off the beaten track but what I found was amazing!!

No trash whatsoever, not even a cigarette end!

The beach is spectacular and there are bins everywhere.

It was a cloudy morning so the photos really don't do it justice.

Its a small, peaceful beach surrounded by lush banana plantations.
There's even a heart shaped rock pool 😍

My totals last week after several dives for ocean trash and a big clean up of the viewing points by Las Rocas beach club were 63 kilos making my total to date 9843 kilos so just 157 kilos to go now till I hit my target of 10,000 kilos of trash removed by December 31st!

It's these donations that keep me going and will see me reach my target.

I've got a busy next few days diving for ocean trash 🤿🫧

Three bin bags full of trash removed from a beautiful, but heavily littered viewing point in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

The trash was mostly plastic and inevitably destined to end up in the ocean but not on my watch!

Hi guys 🤗

I'm super happy to announce that my new collection of ocean themed gifts are now available to buy at my kiosk at Excel Scuba Tenerife in Costa Adeje (just next to Solis and The Drunken Striker)

The necklaces are €15 and this helps to remove 3kg of trash from the ocean.
The keychains are €10 each and this helps to remove 2kg of trash from the ocean
The bracelets and mugs are just €5 each and this helps to remove 1kg of trash

The keychains are handmade by myself using upcyled plastic that I removed from the sea floor here in Tenerife.
They are a labour of love and make a great souvenir.

I also have tote bags that you can take to the beach or supermarket instead of single use plastic and baseball caps to keep you cool in the Tenerife sunshine 😎
These are €7 each and help to remove 1.5 kilos of trash from the ocean.

An excellent start to the week with an epic dive for ocean trash at Playa Fañabe in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.

I was a busy bee last week and dived every day removing a total of 63 kilos of trash from the seafloor around Tenerife.

This brings my total to date to 9780 kilos so just 220 kilos to go till I hit my target of 10,000 kilos of trash removed from the sea by the end of this year.

I found some really bizarre items and saw some beautiful marine life including a very rare Electric Ray and Cuttlefish eggs which I've never seen before.
