A New Euro-Mediterranean Partnership Bringing Together Egypt, Italy, and Morocco in Tetouan
With the support and funding of the Anna Lindh Foundation for the Dialogue Between Cultures – Italian Network, Life Foundation for Development and Community Integration – Egypt (LFDCI) announces the launch of the “Euro-Mediterranean Partnership through Art and Culture” program.
In cooperation with Raizes Cultural Association – Italy and Scouts of Morocco – Tetouan, LFDCI is launching a joint cultural and artistic cooperation program in the Moroccan city of Tetouan.
The program is being implemented as part of the activities of “Tetouan, Capital of Mediterranean Culture and Dialogue,” and is rooted in the shared belief of the partner organizations in the power of culture and the arts as tools for dialogue, empowerment, and building bridges of communication between communities across the Northern and Southern shores of the Mediterranean.
The Program Includes
Strengthening Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue
Creating spaces for cultural exchange and interaction among young people and civil society organizations from Egypt, Italy, and Morocco.
Creative Youth Empowerment
Delivering a series of artistic and training workshops combining theatre, movement and physical expression, storytelling, and Freestyle Football.
Learning Through Art and Teamwork
Developing participants’ skills in self-expression, communication, collaboration, and teamwork through creative and interactive methodologies.
Joint Artistic Production
The training workshops will culminate in the production and presentation of a joint theatrical performance, featuring the participating young people and reflecting their experiences, ideas, and perspectives on dialogue and coexistence.
A Partnership Beyond Borders
We are proud of this partnership, which brings together organizations from Egypt, Italy, and Morocco, reaffirming the importance of civil society and cultural cooperation across the Mediterranean, and investing in young people, the arts, and dialogue as pathways toward creating new spaces for communication, mutual understanding, and sustainable positive change.
