A special thank you to Dr. Ayman Lotfy and Information Technology Institute (ITI) Zagazig for hosting the ZDC Summer Workshop — Round 3 and providing a professional and welcoming environment for our participants to learn, collaborate, and engage in hands-on technical activities.

We truly appreciate your support in creating an environment that encourages learning, experimentation, and engineering excellence.

This workshop is organized by SemiLab, the technical workshop initiative under Zagazig Digital Community (ZDC), dedicated to creating practical learning experiences in digital hardware and modern semiconductor technologies.

Three years of workshops, learning, building, and growing — and we're just getting started.

ZDC SUMMER WORKSHOP — ROUND 3

Digital Hardware Design with FPGA
The wait is over.
After two successful editions in 2024 and 2025, ZDC is back with a new workshop focused on understanding FPGA-based digital systems from design to implementation.

This workshop is built around a simple idea:
Go beyond writing RTL. Understand the system.

We will follow a practical, end-to-end design flow:
Digital Design → Verilog HDL → RTL Simulation & Verification → FPGA Architecture → Synthesis & Implementation → Timing, Area & Power Analysis → FPGA SoC & Embedded Systems

Throughout the workshop, we will explore:

• RTL Design & Verification
• FPGA Architecture and Resources
• Synthesis and Implementation
• Static Timing Analysis
• Area and Power Considerations
• FPGA-based SoC & Embedded Systems
• Modern FPGA technologies and design approaches
• Hands-on experience with modern EDA tools and FPGA technologies across different platforms.

The goal is not to learn isolated concepts or tools.

It is to understand why each stage exists, how the stages connect, and how a hardware design evolves into a complete working system.
From specification to implementation.
From RTL to system.
